  1. Must win game with Arsenal and Man U coming up soon! All out attack please!!!!
  2. Have to agree with this. It was bad enough the club not releasing the kit until November (a shambles) but then saying the kit only lasts for this season is another kick in the teeth. Does it sound a great deal for the fans to buy a kit (to wear in the winter!!!!) that will be out of date by the end of the season? Massive PR gaffe here in my view. I can understand why we waited due to the sponsorship issues (and the extra money from that relative to what we would have made on kits) but then when the club had a chance to redeem itself it hasn't. Let's hope we use that extra sponsorship money and the money obtained from the Milner transfer to finally buy (excluding the one we swapped) our first decent striker in about 4 years. That way, we might even score some goals! Wouldn't that be a reason to go to some games!!! 8)
  3. I certainly hope he gets another chance to impress vs Blackpool
  4. Did anyone see their sprinklers going off during the match! They are so small time!
  5. Tottenham fans are generally more well off. Let's not forget that was one of their biggest home European games in their history. Less than 33k. They've just handed back 1500 tickets to Bolton as well.
  6. Apart from the 1500 tickets they just handed back to Bolton
  7. They've sold out more times than us this year... They also have a smaller stadium though don't they. fair enough, i was just stating that arguing over spurs having 1500 seats empty is stupid when we have had nearly 2000 empty against Chelsea and small heath. anyway I hate spurs On one hand you have Tottenham with their best team in decades failing to sell out their first CL home group match (not even 33k) and on the other hand we got over 40k despite numerous of our fans being disillusioned at the moment. Puts things into perspective
  8. Joey55: I'm not talking about the Inter or Werder Bremen matches. I specifically mentioned the match vs Twente. Amusingly using your link for the Inter game it says "sold out" but it doesn't for the Twente one. Very telling. Here's one of your fans confirming 10 blocks were available on general sale on the day of the game. http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A74851428 The South Stand was sold out. How else do you explain the difference of over 1500 tickets between the attendances in the Twente and Inter games?
  9. You have to allocate tickets to the away side. We sold our allocation for both away games and home games. Twente had a sizeable away following and any tickets they didn't sell (talking hundreds) were sold on to Tottenham fans. You had a number of empty seats in the West Stand and Paxton Upper. There were no tickest available. I know people who tried and couldn't get them. There were tickets left in the West Stand and Paxton Upper. The South Stand was sold out. How else do you explain the difference of over 1500 tickets between the Twente and Inter games?

  11. Shocking dive by Jenas against Inter - rightly booked. Good to see Spurs get over 33k vs Inter after they had over 1500 unsold tickets in their first CL home group match.
  12. Carew has got at least 10 premier league goals every season he's been at the club! While Gabby is out Carew should be in the team! Second thoughts let's just play Heskey on his own as that is really working! 14th in the league and 9 goals in 10 matches.
  13. That match was blues cup final!
  14. Carew is always like to score a goal. Delf as well has shown promise when he has come on. In Gabby's absence either of them were worth a try in the last match. Houllier was so negative - after struggling to score vs Burnley he failed to see what was wrong for the next game. Poor management.
  15. Neither Young or Heskey will score enough goals! Young should be on the wing and if Heskey plays it has to be with another striker as we quite simply will net get enough goals!
  16. 14th in the table 9 goals in 10 games Heskey on his own up front Totally unconvinced!
  17. No! Far too negative and this has shown with the lack of goals.
  18. Hi General I hate to say I told you so but it was clear before the season started that we were not going to score enough goals. 9 goals in 10 games, no goals in 3 league matches on the trot and our 4th choice striker last season now on his own up front! It looks like it's going to be a long season. Can you understand why a number of fans are worried about exactly where this great club is heading? Thanks.
  19. Really worried with Houllier to be honest - he is just so negative. Two home games on the trot - one vs Burnley and one vs Blues. The first we play a 4-6-0 formation and the second one we play one up front with that player being Heskey! When I saw our team line up I thought the only possible players who will score for us are Downing, Young or Heskey. The other 8 no chance! Must do a lot better.
  20. What a draw! Let's go to their ground and show them who the top team in Brum is! We should get about 4000-4500 tickets!
  21. 68 games now since Tottenham's last away win against the "big four" (Man U, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool)
  22. Tottenham were very very lucky that Kaboul wasn't sent off with United being awarded a penalty. Usual Spurs getting the benefit of the fortunate refereeing decisions.
  23. My big concern is centre midfield and ball retention! Reo Coker will win the ball, we just need Sidders / Ireland to keep hold of it and get decent service to the wingers or striker!
  24. General I would just like to congratulate Villa for the pricing for the league cup match last night. With sensible pricing it meant we got a higher attenandance than in the Newcastle vs Arsenal game. Hopefully we will be in a position to do something similar in the next round if we're at home?
