  1. 5 halves of football without a goal and at home to Burnely we have no striker. Shocking.
  2. There was at least one stretch where we had virtually no possession (according to the in-game pop-up), like 16% or something. Would guess that really hurt our final tally. Not that it matters that much but Sky Sports have us down as 51.7% possession!
  3. The Wimbledon Hotspurs pumping it to the 6 ft 7 inch beanpole to nod on. So much for the beautiful game!
  4. I predicted 1-0 to Sunderland and I'm not suprised that we lost. If you play one man up front and that man is Heskey you are not going to score many goals. Let's not persist with this madness!
  5. I think we'll lose this game 1-0 with Bent scoring. Be interesting to see if Heskey can continue his purple patch!
  6. If they'd won more than 2 of the main 2 competitions in their history they might actually be a big club
  7. As I said a long time ago whoever is supposed to be controlling player contracts at Villa Park doesn't seem to be doing the job they should be. The worst thing is this could be seen a mile off by people on here. Can we please get a grip on these basic issues?
  8. Sounds like a good stocking filler http://i53.tinypic.com/fwnnky.jpg
  9. Looks like Bale will be off then. He's far too good for a club like Spurs!
  10. Villa and Spurs are more level if you exclude that Tottenham have won just 2 of the main 2 competitions and we ignore their extra 35 years as a non top flight club
  11. Concerned about Albrighton from a defensive point of view against Bale. I can see a penalty being conceded! Reo Coker will hopefully give us some muscle in midfield. Can see us losing by 2-1 or 3-1!
  12. 32k for a last 32 match in the Champions League. Slightly less than our 38k a few years back when we played in the last 32 of the Uefa Cup
  13. Any news on the contract negotiations for Young and Agbonlahor?
  14. Their title challenge is still on! That's their challenge for their 3rd league title (the last time they won it was half a century ago but therefore counts double!)
  15. We aren't the only team to get a poor attendance. Take away the 5000 Northamton fans and Liverpool only had about 17,500 home fans!
  16. Well played Villa and an inspired substitution from Houllier. Good to see Clark, Bannan and the Delf getting some playing time.
  17. Shocking start for Houllier. Needs a big second half!
  18. Concerned with our line up but fingers crossed. Big chance for some of them to impress.
  19. The result yesterday doesn't matter because Spurs have one runner up in the main 2 competitions (no winners) outside the years of 1950 to 1963. They have therefore ruled the World and the 2 league titles and 0 European Cups is just a mistake by the football authorities.
  20. Well we've already won the main 2 competitions more times than Spurs but now our superior league cup haul is safe for another season!
  21. It sounds like we are losing a fair bit of revenue with the way the catering is set up at present. When is someone going to get a grip on this? These are the same issues people have been mentioning for ages. Surely whoever is responsible for sorting these issues out need to pull their finger out?
  22. You would have thought K Mac might have worked out when we got mullered by Newcastle that maybe that midfield wouldn't work!
  23. You could tell just by looking at the starting line up that we would struggle. We had no ball winner and if we are at home against a so called lesser team Gabby and Carew should be starting. Good riddance to K Mac - totally and utterly out of his depth.
  24. After a poor display as manager from Kevin MacDonald (we haven't played a team who finished in the top seven last season yet) at least he'll no longer be in charge of the first team. To think that he was even being considered for the full time role is a huge concern - as I said weeks ago he's completely out of his depth and sadly I've been proven right. When I saw the starting line up vs Bolton and saw no Reo Coker and Carew it just made be cringe to think we've allowed someone so inexperienced to manage what was supposed to be a top four challenge. Arguably our most physical player in midfield and up front sitting on the bench while our team clearly lacking balance struggled again. Fingers crossed for Houllier. Let's hope the Board give him the financial backing he will need after the lack of investment this year that has, as expected, led to Villa being less competitive on the pitch. Do you agree that the lower attendances (home and away support) is reflective of the average fan's declining confidence and belief in the way the club is being run?
  25. He's been left in tatters! 2 league titles 0 European Cups Inferior for 93 years out of 136 in Villa's history! Complete and overall facts - he's finished!
