    It does feel like he's hardly played for us though. I know he's had injuries etc, but when you look back at how good he was under Sherwood and that was over 3 years ago, it does make you think...what's happened in those 3 years since?

    Just bad timing really. The brightest talent we've had in years (and with a decent chance of keeping if we were still in Prem given his roots) and we're lingering in The Championship.

    Always looked quite timid to me whenever I've seen him. Remember seeing him up against Cyrus Christie and he never really tried to get at him. Only 19 though, hopefully next season can be a breakthrough for him.

    In fairness our lack of options in the wide areas has really hurt us. No room for rotation/resting at all.

    Did anyone watch the Sky buildup before the game? I couldn't hear it in the pub but it showed Southgate and Sherwood on a feature about Grealish. Could anyone tell me what they were saying about him? I don't know if they were recent quotes or older ones though.

    Anyone got a proper video of him? Want to see what kind of player he is. Is there any chance him and Grealish could play together or is it gonna be one or the other?

    You have got to be on a windup here? Who cares about his stats, they'll come in time. Have you actually watched him? He's the most talented player I've probably ever seen play for us in my lifetime! A pleasure to watch, hope he stays for at least another year but we'll see. Such a unique talent, and the type of player I genuinely would pay to watch.

    Love his mentality and he has put some great performances in, but I agree with sidcow. The final showed how painfully predictable he is with that lack of pace and cutting inside every single time, holding onto the ball for longer than he should. He also made the wrong decision in what could have ended up as our most clear cut chance of the game, shooting way wide from Grealish's back heel when he could have slipped either Adomah or Grabban in.

    I think he's been poor overall but he gave it a go in the final and looked up for it. I probably would take him back tbh as an option, but won't be gutted if we don't.

    RDL not convinced by at all but would happily give him another chance. McCormack and Gardner can go. We need more pace and energy, not more of a lack of it! Happily give Gil another chance as he's a player I like, but not convinced we will. Gollini hasn't even been playing has he? But I always thought he was a bit harshly criticised. I'm guessing Tshibola isn't gonna make it...will be sold now?

    Although this team has his faults, I've grown to really like this group of players this season. Real shame that it's looking like it'll have to be ripped apart without achieving our goal

    The bit that wound me up with Grabban was late on when Adomah crossed for that Hogan header that went wide. When Adomah got the ball, Grabban had acres to make a run into the box away from the defender, for Adomah to slip him in, but he ambled into the centre of the box staying marked. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Could put it down to tiredness but he's looked like that in all our last three games. Should have come off at half time for Kodjia.

    What a boring squad and standby list Would have loved at least one attacking wildcard. If Neves is good enough for Portugal (who have a better squad than us), why isn't Grealish good enough?

    Dire tactics this second half. Hoofing it every time under no pressure. I know it's looking like a good result but no excuse not to keep the ball better than this.
