Fair enough. As soon as I posted it I actually thought he was decent going forward on Sat. Think he dwelled on it once and lost it near our goal (like he did against Spurs) and that stuck in my mind. Anyway...contract is deserved.

I wouldn't say Elmo's doing well. Get Guilbert in on Friday and let's see what he can do.

Yeah it's very annoying. That being said, Grealish has said on more than one occasion that his preferred position is on the left of a front three.

Why are people talking about moving his position?! He's obviously a ball playing DM.

Well if we were playing with no goalkeeper then yeah you're right. But he cost us at least a point yesterday.

Nah. Completely different. Gueye and Veretout wanted to leave as they knew they were too good for The Championship.

I mean, we've been unbelievably unlucky as well IMO. The Grealish error VS Spurs saw the ball take a pinball like path to fall straight at Kane's feet. And the deflection on the Wilson goal was pure luck! Deflecting right onto the inside of the post FFs.

Even in The Championship he would drift in and out of games. Poor today, did improve slightly, needs to drive more sometimes, he's far too happy doing a simple layoff. -
When McGinn had to tell him to overlap (and then the defenders were back in position) sums him up. It's like he only gets forward because he knows that's what's expected of him, he doesn't have a natural urge to get forward and he has no confidence in doing so. Targett next game please. And Guilbert at RB. Elmo has too many mistakes (mainly giving the ball away in stupid positions) in him.

Twice at least he's gone back when an easy forward pass has been on. Wesley looked horrendous apart from creating that chance, Grealish not much better either.

To be fair I've always said Yorke but Benteke is extremely close if not equal.

He very rarely strikes the ball cleanly, not just on penalties.

Embarrassment of a cameo on Saturday unfortunately. There is a good player in there but not be seen anywhere near enough lately.
