Agree that we need to start selling players when we can make serious profit. Look at Konsa last year compared to this. There were rumblings in Jan that teams were interested in Konsa and at the time we could have easily asked for 50-60 and it wouldn’t have seemed outrageous. Instead we offer a new big deal to him and his form and value goes down the shit pot. There are thousands of professional footballers out there, we’ve got more scouts and statisticians and TheAthletic subscribers in the club than we’ve ever had, we can replace players.

I think the players could have managed themselves to 14th this season. Smith had to go and we’ve done half the job getting someone who can attract a higher calibre of player but we still need someone who can make a team more than the sum of its parts.

How many of those shots were good opportunities really? The traore header, sure. Most of the other shots were speculative efforts that only go in 1/10 times. Not really good enough, its all just instinct, in the moment football. Surely we know Pope is a great keeper who can keep a clean sheet single handed on his day.
