  1. Why stay on a sinking ship ? And lets have it right ,it was sinking .
  2. Dare I say it ,but I would like to see Fabian return ,albeit with a large slice of humble pie . There doesn't seem to be much of a future at Citeh ,and I'm guessing he still has a soft spot for us . I for one ,would love him back .
  3. He's got a fair amount of skill ,but at that level ,not enough to compensate for his lack of pace .
  4. Okay ,holding on ,that better for you ? It was kind of rhetorical ,but never mind , it's like a man once said : " don't concentrate on the finger as you will miss all that heavenly glory " .
  5. Hanging on for dear life ,which is what we did for the whole of the second half , is not my view of being competitive . I can t accept us not even attempting to be on the front foot , against such opposition ,and I believe our history and tradition demands that attitude ,but what do I know ?
  6. The pioneers of competitive football and you ask me ,what has history and tradition got to do with anything ? Dear me .
  7. Why ask a question if your going to answer it yourself ?
  8. Pass and move ,find space . Where is the difficulty in that ? To watch us getting out played by our bitter rivals ,and resorting to tactics that were akin to the Wimbledon of the eighties was painful . To spend the amount of money we have on players , only to watch them kicking aimless balls up the pitch ,well I just don't get that at all . We are Aston Villa ,bathed in history and tradition . That drivel is unacceptable . PP
  9. To see him giving his all on Sunday ,was for me ,a great sight . No matter the stick he's endured ,and yes ,justified on occasions ,but many a time the scapegoat , one thing that can't be questioned ,for me ,his attitude and honest endeavour ,and that was there in abundance on Sunday . He reminds me of the nutty full - backs of the seventies and eighties .
  10. The lack of cohesion in general play is alarming , I know it's a frenetic occasion ,but come on , at times it was cringe inducing how we just kicked the ball and hoped it found a Villa player . Were talking professional football players , how basic is find a team mate ? Gotta say though : I thought Alan Hutton was commitment personified .
  11. The only language needed on the day ,is a total love and commitment to all things Aston Villa ,that's all .we ,as fans ,ask for .
  12. Always faith my friend , always .
  13. They talk about the Zulus like they were the first multi racial firm , but trust me , it's not so , the c . crew came well before that lot , and we were packed with brothers , a big shout to my old china Black Danny .
  14. Didn't think much of the new Jack Reacher , boringly predictable . The first one seemed much better . Also took in Tarintinos' Hateful Eight as much as I love his work , I found myself thinking when does this bloody end , if I were to name my top five Tarantino films : 5 Reservoir Dogs , 4 Jackie Brown , 3 Inglorious Bastards , 2 Pulp Fiction , 1 Django Unchained . And let's not forget True Romance , although not directed by the man . it was all his script , and what a script : " you happen to catch me in a vendetta kind of mood , you remember to tell the angels in heaven that you never saw evil so singularly personified , as on the face of the man who killed me " . Sheer genius ,with a nod to Christopher Walken .
  15. The audience on the Jeremy Kyle show , why on earth would anyone consider the tribulations of the uneducated , entertainment . For me , it's voyeurism at it's most ugliest .
  16. Should of seen it when they had terracing . There is absolutely zilch that redeems that club ,even though I grew up as a city centre lad with loads of blue nose pals I never felt the desire to spend a spare Saturday afternoon in that shit - hole , it really is a depressing sight . I don't have any bitterness , as such towards them , that's there thing , with me it's pure indifference .
  17. A hat- trick from a Villa player , hence , I'm invariably frowning .
  18. What an awful breed of mankind that nonce was . Unmarked grave ? He should of been dug up and incinerated . Johnny Lydon called him out years ago on a radio interview , and as a result got ostracised by the BBC . Even the so called do child protector Esther Ransen turned a blind eye , it makes me sick to my stomach and poor old Louis , the look of someone whose been totally violated .
  19. Nice to know your not the only one , but if ever there were a bell - end , he's the prototype . Could start a new thread with celebrities you have an inexplicable hatred for , now that could be quite humorous .
  20. Nothing beats the intensity of a Villa - blues game . I remember my first one as a ten yr old , 58 '000 at a rocking Villa park . My stand out memory is of Brian Little beating Trevor Francis to 50 a 50 - 50 ball .the Holte went wild at that one . Little also scored the winner in a come from behind 2 - 1 win . I went home beaming ,the sheer joy of that occasion is a memory that I'll cherish till the day I die . UP THE VILLA .
  21. Can't beat an educated villain .
