  1. F*ck off VAR, I actually celebrated that goal too
  2. Ollie already has more goals this season than Vardy had in his entire debut PL season
  3. Not sure I understand. Are you suggesting that it should not have been a free kick but still a red? Michael Oliver is not in a position to overturn the free kick decision, but you agree that his decision that it's a red is correct?
  4. I thought that also, but when the replay was held frozen on the frame where Andersen/Wilson both had their foot on the 18 yard box, I wasn't sure what exactly they were looking at. Then, when the ref was heading over to the monitor, the commentator mentioned "we understand the penalty will stand and it's been checked for a red card offence". WTF? This again raises the question of how was not sending the player off a clear and obvious error?? I can just imagine it now...fans chanting "f*ck VAR" and "VAR is shite" for 10 minutes, and the TV broadcast has to ironically turn off the pitchside microphones to block out the crowd noise so that the commentator isn't constantly saying "apologies for those of you who may have heard any offensive language"
  5. I really wish a journalist had the balls to call players out in these situations... “Callum, did you think it was a penalty?” ”Yes” “Why?” “He’s tugged me back and then kicked through the bottom of my foot” “Are you sure about that? On replay it didn't look like there was anywhere near enough contact to result in both of your legs flailing in the air in the manner they did”
  6. A worse refereeing performance than Mike Dean last week. Wow.
  7. Contact initiated outside the box when not the last man. If there is any contact in the box then it's the slightest of touches from toe to Wilson's heel, which never in a million years sends both of a striker's legs sprawling like that. It is becoming more and more apparent that VAR is just a euphemism for corruption.
  8. I was looking at a different stat sheet that showed he scored in 6 of his first 11 games...missed that he scored more than one in some of those. An understandable error.
  9. Well now we know who the VAR ref wagered on tonight.
  10. Exactly. To put it in perspective, Aguero had 6 in his first 11 in his debut Premier League season. The best striker we've had since Benteke and he's being slated...
  11. Think we should check the FFP books and see if we paid only half the fee up front. Would make sense why he's arrived to us with only one of his feet. On a serious note, I don't think they're the same quality, but, from a purely attacking sense, if we are going to play him on the right then we should look at how James plays for Everton. Left-footed player who likes to cut in playing on the right of a front three.
  12. Based on simple maths, we should be beating these 14-2 next week, no?
  13. For what it's worth, Big Sam has a mixed record in his first match for a new club: Everton: won 2-0 vs Huddersfield Crystal Palace: lost 2-0 at Arsenal England: won 1-0 at Slovakia Sunderland: lost 1-0 at West Brom West Ham: lost 1-0 vs Cardiff Blackburn: won 3-0 vs Stoke Newcastle: won 3-1 at Bolton Bolton: lost 2-1 at Norwich
  14. Other than maybe Berge, is there a player in their first XI that would even get into Burnley's first XI?
  15. I think he's being unfairly slated. He's looked very good on the counter and our team as a whole generally tend to struggle when being allowed to dominate play. Yes, he didn't look great today trying to create something, but other times he did get into some really good positions and was just waiting for the ball to reach him, but instead it ended up being blazed over the bar. If we had someone other than Grealish who could play a decent ball into the box, I'm sure he would have scored today.
  16. Is this a Mourinho burner account? Why are you assuming that I meant anything other than a jest as a direct continuation of last night? I have watched basically all PL games this season---I watched them dismantle Saints and United---so I'm well aware of what his teams are capable of doing. But it is indeed a true fact that he defends on a lead on occasion.
  17. Did he or did he not park the bus last night?
  18. He has also parked the bus twice in the past week, what's your point?
  19. Jagielka coming on for a midfielder. Bus rolling into position. Mourinho approves.
  20. FIFA algorithm just didn't want us to score tonight...
  21. Gonna have a cheeky punt on Mee to get a yellow and Davis to score first in the second half. Can see this being a tight game with Davis brought on with around 20mins to go, linking up well with Jack and Ollie and bagging the winner. Gonna have a nice evening with me winnings.
