  1. To be honest I think Jedinak is our player of the season, he is our most important player.
  2. Here's a thought, we always used to struggle to score (still do). I think Bruce has recognised our team struggles to break teams down in open play, and has adjusted accordingly. By frustrating the other team and inviting their midfield onto us it gives adomah and kodija so much space for the ball to be played quickly for them to run onto....it's how we scored both goals today. I think you'd nullify kodjia and adomah if you set up in a more possesion-based format as they have to beat 2 men rather than 1 to fashion any threatening space. Great management imo.
  3. His pass and trickery is a class above in this opposition, when he gets it right he leaves the opposite number for dead. He also played a great pass to kodija today near the end, definitely needs to continue building his confidence.
  4. I also so think he did well at coming for crosses/ariel balls today, something he's been very poor at before.
  5. I mean you're 100% right, but he did kick it to get an assist today haha
  6. Does anyone remember when we had that mentality problem? The one in which we conceded every game in the last 5 mins. Bruce has seemingly done a cracking job at turning that around, which was no small task. Also, how many teams have made 5+ starting XI signings and played well from the get-go? (Manchester City, Spurs with Bale Money ect)...let alone buying an entire new XI (minus hutton).
  7. We can win, we definitely should win, we won't win.
  8. i've warmed to him alot this season, we need all the players we can get that show as much passion as him on a game-by-game basis.
  9. My opinion is that Bruce has an unbalanced side, and this is largely not his fault. It must be very difficult when you have only one midfielder that is capable of playing a defensive role to cover the centre-backs, I imagine that's why he's had to so many differing formations to try and adapt to that. The other issue is that apart from Hutton, the whole team is completely new to the club, we all know it takes a long while for understanding and chemistry to develop. Whenever I've watched Bruce reflect on games he's always spoken negatively about our tendency to get "drawn into the long ball", so I can't imagine this is how he pictures us playing long-term. We have the players (minus one more CDM), we have the manager, the chairman, the facilities and the support....It's going to take a proper pre-season to get everything into place rather than trying to improvise as we go. I know supporting Aston Villa has lacked all kinds of logic over the last half decade, but all the pieces are in place.
  10. i'd like to feel positive again please, that brief spell was nice.
  11. We need to get rid of this 4-3-3 formation.
  12. let's not paint a rosy picture, this guy seems to be the worst we've had between the sticks.
  13. I just don't understand what we would do with the money we would get from selling him?
  14. what would selling him even achieve, apart from upsetting a large quantity of fans?
  15. We have more money than sense right now, and people want to cash in? Speechless.
  16. I don't think he'll leave this window, and I really want to see him play with a midfield that get's the ball to his feet in the box.
  17. In the sense that he won't sign or will not perform?
  18. I could cry with happiness at the thought of not having to see Hutton balloon a cross into the stands ever again.
  19. I came here to read about Veretout, got confused and left.
  20. Do you reckon the Lansbury's signing will help push this along?
