Saw him start against Blackpool and he was pants ..... like the rest of them. Struggled to beat his man, dwelt on the ball too long and just wasn't strong enough. He definitely needs to tough out a good run in the Championship and then see where he's at. Could still make the grade but plenty of question marks for me. -

It has already failed because we are less than 24 hours away and most don't know what is going on or don't care about it so you'll end up with half a dozen people wandering in late and pondering why nobody really gives a damn about what they are trying to do. PS: Gil scores after 3 minutes, Benteke after 5 minutes ..... how many are still standing out back protesting ?!!!!!!!!

If the team plays well then you get behind them, if its more of the same then you unite in singing the same old anti-Lambert stuff later in the game. The chants from the terrace get to Lambert which is why he has commented so much on it AND it gets into the media thus reaches Lerner. You don't need school playground style protests - they are just annoying and will achieve nothing because only the people protesting actually know what its all about. Protest with your voice if there is a need ...... who knows, tomorrow might just be the start of something better LOL !!!

I'm all for protest but this is an ill-considered protest that is likely to alienate fellow fans and deprive the players of the support they need. I suspect very few will take part and I fully expect a very hostile response from many Villa fans who do not approve of the protest or nature of it. Protest outside the ground before or after the game. It will grab media coverage which is where the "damage" comes from anyway and it doesn't have the obvious unwanted side-effects that this planned protest has. My bet is that this will be a complete non-event !

Its obvious that he is trying to create a Bundesliga style team within the Premiership. The way we keep the ball really is impressive even if it is very frightening when we do it in our own box but it doesn't seem to work in the top half of the field. Is that just down to players not being good enough to play that style up top or do they just not want to play that way ? A couple of decent creative and attack minded players and this COULD suddenly make sense but time is running out fast so he needs to make it happen fast !!!

I like Hutton but his body language yesterday was shocking - he may as well have carried a board round stating "I really don't want to be here" ! Watch that Albrighton breakaway early doors when Nugent scuffed wide - Hutton just jogs back behind the two Leicester players and made no effort to save the day. He repeated that uncharacteristic "apathy" a number of times after that too. Lambert has lost the changing room big time if Al is anything to go by !

A "villa fan" radio reporter on the Radio 5Live "606" said he witnessed several fights between Villa fans with kids being escorted out in tears ! Jeez ..... if it has got that bad then surely somebody at the club might think enough is enough, we really HAVE hit rock bottom ! #lambertout #now

I'd rather gamble on Sid Cowans until season's end - at least Sid would have us playing positive, dynamic football and despite what one or two stooges say, I don't think the players like Lambert's "new system" !!!

I didn't approve of fan action against McLeish but I'm at the point now whereby if the fans don't rise up in such a way that the media run with it and embarrass Lerner then this guy will put us in the Championship !

LOL ...... you should have been there to witness the 89 minutes that didn't make the highlight reel ! When 20,000 Villa rise together to cheer and applaud our first shot on goal after 65 minutes against the worst team in the Championship then believe me, fans are NOT going over the top !!!

Cole was my MOM, Westwood did okay too ..... the rest were ordinary. Ridiculous tactics against the worst team in the Championship and it left us hardly any better than they were. We want our Villa back ! #lambertout

One of the symptoms of a weakened meniscus is that it will seem repaired but will give way as soon as you put real strain on it and because it is the "shock absorber" in the knee, it takes on some serious strain. Hearing that it maybe is the same injury as the one he had in the world Cup is a bit worrying and i can imagine a few alarm bells are ringing now. Hope I'm wrong and I'm only going on one person's experience so maybe with the skilled help he will have here then all will be okay.

It certainly can be ..... more so than any other type of cartilage injury. Depending on the area of damage, parts of the meniscus cartilage don't recover (something to do with limited blood supply). I used to work with a semi-pro who was finished in his early 20s with a meniscus injury that kept going every time he came back.

His heart isn't at Villa anymore and, to be brutally honest, he is not as good now as Okore and Clark. The big problem for us now is that his injury is potentially career ending and nobody is going to shell out for a player who may never recover fully.

Unbelievable mix of cluelessness and couldn't really give a <word removed> ...... no manager would ever survive a performance like that at any other club. I pity those who paid good money to sit in the rain watching that !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sanchez was outstanding again but both Bacuna and Grealish injected the sort of spark and dynamic play that seems beyond the likes of Cleverley and Nzogbia ..... the latter proving once again that he is nowhere near good enough to play at this level and surely PL must be getting close to realising this !!!
