My only desperate thought is that Zog hasn't played all season and we've been crap ...... and now he is playing so ....... it might not be crap ...... even though he evidently is crap !!! Got to trust the gaffer has a plan here but boy if we lose this, he is going to become the new Lambert in popularity overnight !!! Definitely this ^^^^

I'm okay with Sinclair out but Zog in I do not get. Tim may think he has experience but that has never translated into anything other than rabbit in headlights performances. Crap news on the two Baggies forwards playing. May be worth Clarky going right through them early doors just to see how fit they really are !!!

The form is clearly improving - the results are not (yet) - there is a difference !

Holte is virtually sold out for the Cup game as are several other areas ..... that one will sell out and soon if/when we win on Tuesday. Tuesday game looking around 35k-37k in my opinion.

The midfield is correct. Last week we were way too soft in the middle of the park and got out-muscled by stoke ..... we actually missed Cleverley and Westwood. Gabby would only make the team if he has delivered in training ..... Sherwood wouldn't pick him for any other reason.

What we saw yesterday was a team trying to adopt a new more progressive style but simply being not good enough to pull it off. The Lambert style was dull but was relatively simple for players as they never passed the ball more than ten yards, they rarely had to move their legs and they always had the cop-out option of passing back if under any pressure. Now they are trying to move the ball forward but the passing lacks both accuracy and vision and the receiving forwards are so not used to it that they fail to make the right runs at the right time and when they do get the pass, they are not sure what to do with it !!! We need simple solutions for fast results and #1 on my list is to tell Sinclair to stay within ten yards of the touch line at all times to provide us with a simple out-pass and also to supply crosses for Benteke. Unlike some, I don't rate Sinclair at the moment because he is obsessed with driving inside for the shot ..... he thinks he's a #9 but his real value-add is as a #11. We need wide options and we need to get rid of the Lambert obsession with only playing down the central strip of the pitch because we aren't good enough to do that ..... get back to basics !

Today saw a number of players found out for what they are ..... as in "not very good" !!! Teckers didn't work hard enough, Gabby with another no-show and Sinclair spent the game lost in the centre when he should have been our outlet ball on the flanks. The midfield was out-muscled and yes ..... we really did miss Cleverley !!! We go again ! #lambertout

Don't underestimate the adverse affect Lambert had on some players and I suspect Gabby was one. Give him a chance under a more positive manager and then judge him ..... his career here earns him the right to be given every chance. If he doesn't improve under TS then so be it but give him a chance first !

Exactly ..... can't see how they will change significantly. The Lambert style is totally ingrained in them and won't vanish overnight but we can hope I guess !!!

Good luck Tim - I think he'll do okay here and, whether he does or doesn't, getting rid of Lambert is still huge for Villa !!!

Explain why exactly because I don't get it. From a fan perspective, why do we need to be in the top flight ?

Football is an entertainment, its about what is entertaining and I don't get off on getting outclassed by teams we can't compete with in a league we can never win. I want entertaining football in an entertaining and competitive league where we can reasonably compete with anybody and maybe even a league that will encourage us to bring through our own Villa lads rather than shipping in cast offs from all over Europe and then sending out our lads to play elsewhere. I guess I'm just totally disillusioned with it all now and last night at dull Hull was the final straw for me ..... I want to see Villa fans with a smile on their faces again instead of ripping their hair out and spitting poison all game, every game.

As a fan of many decades and a total realist, the best we can hope for in the Premiership is avoiding relegation or making the top ten and that's about as good as it gets. As a fan, am I going to be dancing in the streets or invading the pitch to celebrate not being relegated or making the top ten or even Europe ...... I don't think so ! In the Championship, you have not only two promotions to chase but four more play-off places with a potential trip to Wembley thrown in. There are attractive possibilities all over the place and after recent seasons, I'd really fancy having something positive to chase. I know we are a big club and i know we should be competing with the best but the adventures of Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal and more have simply made the Premiership a dull and fairly pointless place to be as a fan and I want excitement, I want to win things and I don't want to pay £40 to sit in the Holte to watch some foreign side make us look stupid !

Must stay wide - hog the flanks because at Hull he drifted inside every time and was impossible to find with a pass ......... STAY WIDE FGS !!!!!!!!!!!

Got to confess I don't WANT to go down but if we do, I ain't shedding too many tears. Would be a great season without the same old boring money teams and some new away trips too. A chance to start a new era and boy do we need that !!!!!!!

Just got back. It was like visiting a much loved family member who is dieing from cancer before your eyes and the only guy who can remove the cancer is hundreds of miles away and can't really be bothered. He/They are killing our club and neither cares enough to do the right thing ...... we're going down folks !!! #lambertout
