As it is generally accepted that Jack has matured greatly in the last 18 months is there a chance that the young Jack thought he had already ‘made it’ and did not have to pay a lot of attention to his coaches. If so has he not now created a situation where regardless of his potential he may have fallen behind lesser players who had a much better attitude in their formative years and therefore have overtaken him in terms of consistency and how they are able to influence matches positively for their team?

Would anyone want to be the owners at this moment ? We have a squad that are hugely underperforming as individuals and as a team. The managerial options available have never managed before but were good players, are reasonably experienced with some success but belong to other clubs, are old dinosaurs like Steve Bruce, wouldn’t be interested in a club in the second tier of English football or want to risk a club with a fan base that believe they are a world class club that ‘should be in the premier league because we are Aston Villa’ I don’t envy them.
