  1. Especially when you play one of our 3 Center Halves at RB, the one position where we have any sort of depth in defense... I'm speechless. I'm glad we got the win, but we could have easily lost that on another day.
  2. What a player... He is tenacious, can pass, can tackle, is fantastic with a dead ball, and has a never give up attitude... He's going to be a star. Fantastic debut.
  3. I don't get why everyone is worked up over his comments. He was asked a question about his future, considering he'll be in the last year of his contract this summer and our future in the Premier League is up in the air at the moment. I thought he answered the question honestly - he doesn't know what will happen, but the club hasn't offered him an extension and he has ambitions as a player to play at the highest level he can. Nothing wrong with that. Keep in mind, this was an interview in Danish, and some rag has translated to English, probably poorly and out of context to try to stir up some headlines. Joras has been nothing but a stand up professional during his time at Villa. He has given his all on the pitch, and has managed to depose our captain from his position based on his solid performances. He has always been great to the fans, and IMO, has been our best central defender since Laursen retired. I can see someone like Southampton or Everton coming in for him this summer, whether or not we stay in the Premier League. From there, it will be all down to Remi convincing him that he wants him to stay and Hollis & Co. to make him a competitive contract offer.
  4. He showed today what he can do if players in front of him make runs and move around off the ball. Yet another assist for the lad, his 4th since Garde arrived. He reminds me of a younger Jimmy Milner with his tireless workrate, vision, and strong technical ability. I hope we hold onto him next season.
  5. Aside from the Man City match, he's been our best player of 2016 so far. Gana is much better in the defensive midfielder role than any of our other players. He's stronger than Westwood, better on the ball than Sanchez, and has an outstanding work rate to boot. Lescott and Okore have been getting a lot of praise for their defensive heroics lately, but Gana has played a large part in breaking up the opposition's attacks before they even start. If he sees out the remainder of the season playing like this, someone bigger than us will come in for him this summer.
  6. Unfortunately, Gabby is a huge reason why we're bottom of the table and pretty much doomed to relegation. He hasn't scored in the double digits in five seasons, and he just scored his first in eleven months. Even if he starts banging them in like Jamie Vardy to close this season out and keep us up, I still want him to be the first player out the door this summer.
  7. Probably sexually harassing some broad on Al Jezeera Sport...
  8. He looked completely lost against Bournemouth, like he didn't know his role or what he was supposed to do. It might have been nerves, miscommunication because of the language barrier, or the off field issues that have been emerging recently. That said, I didn't think he looked that bad against Manure and he certainly looked better than Gabby. He was just as exhausted as everyone else in the team by the 70th minute but he was still getting on the ball and trying to make something work. I have faith. Once he settles, he'll be great.
  9. I'm still holding out for Lescott and Adebayor. Make it happen, boys.
  10. I was pretty much the first person to dismiss the Cavani link. As for Berahino I know there wasn't a link in the media but i thought he might be someone we'd be interested in, but since Trent has said that we won't be spending £20M after sales I guess it's pretty unlikely. I'm still fairly new here, so this is a legit question... Is useless serious or is he trolling hard here?
  11. Hell, why bother playing the rest of the season... We're just going to get relegated with that kind of lineup...
  12. Guys, this is SUNDERLAND we're playing... SUNDERLAND, FFS!!! That lineup will still score against their shit defense... You all are some of the most miserable depressing pessimists I've ever seen... You're probably all joys to be around at parties.
  13. It's obviously 4-3-3 Guzan Hutton - Richards - Clark - Amavi Westwood - Sanchez - Gana Bacuna - Gestede - Sinclair I don't know how you'd get 4-4-2 with 3 central midfielders. Also 5-3-2 at home against Sunderland? Even with a few tactical blunders so far this season, Sherwood can't be that daft...
  14. If we bid 24 million for Berahino can we still loan Januzai?!?!?!?!
  15. What if you loan Januzaj? Do away goals count then?
  16. Damn it, Guzan!!! His distribution is awful... Cost us that goa--WAIT! Wrong thread...
  17. What about the BBC? Are they, literally, showing the goals as they go in?
  18. Does anyone know if SSN is showing the goals as they go in? I just want to know...
  19. Grealish may have beaten 2 men to set up that goal, but Gil beat the other 9 to pass to Grealish.
  20. He has been doing it for what, a decade or more now. He really needs to be replaced You know as well as I do that he would keep turning up to work any way. He'd be in the crowd with a microphone made out of a toilet paper tube pretending to interview the fans. When I first saw Jack Woodward, I thought he was doing some kind of wacky weird British humor character I didn't get, because I'm American. Then I realized that's just his personality and he became unwatchable.
  21. Howard Hodgson? I don't believe a thing that muppet says. In fact, I'm more likely to believe the opposite. Also, would Tom Fox leak transfer details to some social media loudmouth, just because he is in the directors box? No, I don't think so... I don't know him personally but know people who do and he is by all accounts a top bloke. Just saying. Touché. Maybe I was a little harsh, but he comes across as a self righteous knob based off his blogs on TBAR, his bid to "save" Villa last year, and his tweets. I don't care if Prince William asked Tom Fox about a transfer rumor, Fox is going to deny it regardless.

  23. I thought he did alright, considering he's not fit, and played out of position, basically as a right winger the first half.
  24. The moment that summed up just how much of an idiot Gabby is on the pitch was when Amavi had the ball on the left flank early in the 2nd half, with only one man to beat, and Gabby & Ayew were in a 2 on 1 situation in the center with a Manure defender. You knew Amavi was going to get a good, fast, low cross in for someone to tap in, because that kind of situation is his bread and butter, but what happened? Ayew makes a near post run, drawing the United defender with him, leaving the back post completely wide open. What does Gabby do? Does he make that far post run? No, he decides to make the exact same run as Ayew to the near post, only is a yard behind him. The cross is too far in front of Ayew to get on, and if Gabby made the back post run, it's an easy tap in. After the play, when Ayew realized Gabby was on his heels, and not making a different run he gives him a WTF?!?!? look and Gabby's dumb ass just sort of shrugs it off. I was screaming at my TV when I saw that. If I was on the pitch, I could have scored that for us because I knew exactly what Amavi was going to do, based on watching him for 4 matches already, but Mr. Aston Villa, who does nothing but play football for 65k a week, couldn't notice he was making the exact same run as his teammate who was a yard in front of him. His lack of awareness is shocking.
