  1. It’s up to them. I have no idea why some people bother supporting a club when their time is spent being so incredibly negative about a manager. We finished 4th last season and had a playoff final at Wembley yet this was deemed a complete and utter failure and a sackable offence.
  2. Agreed - but unfortunately (on here at least) it won’t happen. As soon as we hit a run of no winning in 3 games, the usual suspects will be out in force.
  3. I assume you’ve heard of squads, right?
  4. Love it. A fan not supporting Bruce would be critical of Bruce saying he didn’t have the fans support. Brilliant.
  5. He’s managed pretty shit clubs in fairness. But sure.
  6. In the same time frame that Steve Bruce has been a manager, neither have we. Not entirely sure what your point is?
  7. I don’t understand this - why would he be a better gamble to take in a league where managers are more astute and the players are better? Surely a lower level is “easier” to take on?

    Thierry Henry

I didn’t think he was that bad at all. I’m pretty surprised by the amount of dislike for Henry. Even with the handball thing - let it **** go. Jesus.

    Wolves

Pretty sure he played in the World Cup - surely he’s a regular of whatever sort? Did Rui Patricio terminate his contract at Sporting? If so, does this mean that “squeaky clean, nothing dodgy going on here honest guv” Wolves have signed Neves, Patrício and Moutinho for approx £20m? **** lol
  10. Got to hope that Salford FC or whatever they’re called don’t make it into the league. It’s madness that a player from Aberdeen would join a Conference side.
  11. It’s not that confusing. We’ve been linked with Henry and people are discussing him as a possible manager (the majority seemingly think it’s a terrible idea to have a manager with very little experience in charge). So not quite anyone other than Bruce. Presumably there’s no discussion around Tim Cahill or Jens Lehmann or Luc Nilis as we haven’t been linked with them as our potential new manager. Plus, it’s easy to get caught up in the fantasy of unknown entities. I’m almost always more excited about foreign signings than ones I know about domestically. It’s pretty normal.
  12. It isn’t confidence? It’s just wanting a change. Could go well, could fail. Same as literally every other managerial appointment. No-one has said “Henry would be a brilliant appointment”.
  13. We’re just acclimatising for the arrival of Thierry.
  14. It’s dealt with in March I think and we could see points deductions/promotion withheld as possible punishments (which would make the whole spending what we like a bit pointless too!)
  15. He’s the complete unknown. I wouldn’t mind it happening at all, though. If it isn’t going to be Bruce, it might as well be an exciting prospect.
  16. We didn't buy Richards, so he'd be irrelevant. McCormack would be a loss, though - and a massive one at that.
  17. Is he? One of the papers linking him to Spurs suggested he’d be offered a payrise to a £20k/week deal.
  18. Aside from Le Tissier, all at top clubs. May not have won as much as they could have done, but hardly a case of being an absolute star in an average team.
  19. People keep citing this money thing - isn’t he on a rolling contract?
  20. I agree with the sentiment overall, but Gerrard and Terry were in teams who could legitimately challenge for trophies. Grealish (Championship trophy aside ) doesn’t have this. Zaha spent his career at Palace but was convinced to move to Man Utd (before returning). Rooney moved from his boyhood club to Man Utd. Andy Carroll moved from his boyhood club when Liverpool came knocking. Gareth Barry spent however many years at Villa before Man City came in for him. And so on and so forth. Grealish is much in this latter category, if not moreso, than Gerrard and Terry. Let’s just hope we can persuade him to stay for a while longer.
