  1. I may be wrong but would the government not just cut cental funding to councils who do this.
  2. Respect is earned. It is not a given. Well a lot on the left have said they respect Thatcher.
  3. When he dies he should have the same funeral as Thatcher, some people do not like him but they should respect him. People in power have to make hard choices, and to win 3 elections shows that they had the majority of the British public with them.
  4. Thatcher is liked by the British public, she won 3 elections, there is a section of the public who do not like her, who are being very vocal but that does not mean that she does not deserve the funeral that she is getting or that the majority of the British public do not want her to have such a funeral.
  5. Pixar - up, made me cry, watched it on a flight the air stewardess thought I was crying because I did not like flying.
  6. Why does it bother people if our players are arrogant , many top sports people are arrogant and have tons of self belief, you need it to compete at the top level.
  7. I think CED has got himself into a hole and has decided to stop digging
  8. Well that is what all the housing associations are saying.
  9. no, its not. but thats no reason not to move to an overall fairer system, even though there will be some short-term upheaval. But they have not come up with a system that is fair. If they were to say offer a two bedroom house that was in the same school catchment area and would not cause massive upheaval and the single mother said no I am staying were I am, then yes she can pay extra. But when there is a shortage of 1 & 2 bedroom houses I think it is not fair to tax people who have a spare room.
  10. I am not sure there are that many 1 & 2 bedroom houses available. While I agree with the idea the policy will cause quite a bit of harm.
  11. But are there smaller houses for them to move into. Say a single mum with one child lives in a 3 bed house and been there for a number of years is it fair to tax her because she was not put into a 2 bed house in the first place or there is no 2 bed house for her to move into.
  12. To get the full results you would need to sort your diet out and do insanity, I know people who have done it and got great results. I think you need to be pretty fit to do it in the first place. It is high intensity training using body weight exercises, so you will get much better result than just going for a run. I know a few people who are into crossfit at the moment and swear by it, so you could try that.
  13. Irelands golden generation has come an end, to many players around the same age, think there are going to be some lean times for the next few years. One grand slam with that group of players is a poor return, should have got rid of Eddie O Sullivan sooner.
  14. Positive move to start with Jackson, O' Gara has been pasted it for years. Ireland are at a cross roads, need to get rid of some of the older players.
  15. Well I just hope you were booing when Hartley and Tuilagi because they have done a lot worse than Healy on the rugby pitch! Just hope Cole and Healy have made up because they could be both starting on the Lions tour, as Adam Jones is way out of form.
  16. Calum Clark hyper extended the other players elbow it is completly different, hence why he got 29 weeks and Healy got 3 weeks. Jerry Gusscot played it down this is what he said on the BBC website Hi Tresamble/Tommo, neither myself nor Keith were attempting to justify the stamping by Healy, merely saying what a fine line it can sometimes be - you could easily interpret that as condoning it, but that is something I would never knowingly do. In slow motion the action is enhanced and looks a lot worse, when you watch it in real time you could easily have missed it. Cole was guilty of bringing the driving maul down and fell lazily on the wrong side, impeding scrum-half Conor Murray as he tried to get the ball away. Did Healy lose his head yes, did he mean to cause injury to Dan Cole, no. Did Cole deserve a yellow yes.
  17. Well the opinion of the people who matter gave it a 3 week ban, most ex pros have played it down. I don't think it is a macho thing, but in a close game players slow the ball down if you get rucked then so be it.
  18. Seen it and just watched it again, nothing really in it. Can't really understand why Dan Cole was not yellow carded, he was trying to drop the maul from the moment he entered it. Three weeks was about right, at the lower end of the punishment. Refs really need to be stronger on playes who are looking to kill or slow down the ball, would create a more positive game.
  19. I very much doubt it was his intention to injury Dan Cole, it was a warning that if you slow the ball down by lying on the wrong side you will get rucked, a good openside should have stud marks all over his back every game. It was the refs fault, he should of blown up and binned Dan Cole, who could of injured somebody by pulling a driving maul down. Players get fustrated by playesr killing and slowing the ball down.
  20. Two week ban was about right for Healy, ref would have just sin binned him if he had seen it. The ref should have binned Cole for bringing a driving maul down and then rolling on the wrong side to slow the ball down. Healy was wrong but there has been a bit of a over reaction to it.
  21. They could really look at business rates for areas with high voids. Business rates are based on property values as of 1 April 2008, before the recession started. So you can have a retailer paying business rates on a unit which they have rented for £20,000 and the business rates are based on a rent of £60,000. The government have also delayed the business rate revaluation for 2 years, because it would be mean that rental values would be based on rents at 1 April 2013 for anywhere outside of London and certian hot spots would mean a reduction in business rates of 15-60%. This would mean less tax for the government.
  22. Pablo Escobar, watched an interesting program about the hippos he bought which are running wild in Columbia now.
  23. Pretty much agree with everything The DON has said.
