    Its insane to give up because the transfer deadline is near. The very nature of having a deadline makes selling & buying clubs play it like a poker game. Its real, very large sums of money we are talking about.

    Not sure what there is to moan about, the majority of our overpaid and under performing players are being sold or left out. Heskey has gone. The core of our starting 11 has been massively improved - Vlaar defence, Karim midfield. We have one of the best goal scorers in the league. A number of cracking young prospects and time to add a few more players. Our manager is also concerned about playing good football. We just have to accept we do not have the resources of Man city/Chelsea - and I'm actually pleased.

    I'm sure its just a coincidence, but last night Lambert hinted we are after a young, hungry forward and also last night night Rennes are reported to want Makoun. Soon after MM comes up with the exclusive that we are not after Fletcher and are loaning Makoun to Rennes.

    Exactly. Wrong. Terms were agreed, contracts signed before Lambert arrived.

    Great, I had a bad feeling he was left out either due to an injury or just to let other players have a run out. Its funny how how he is getting rid of the players most of us have been saying are crap. Perhaps a lesson for Randy on managers and players - we do know quite a bit about football.

    I'm not sure why, but I've had a feeling since he became available, that we will actually sign him. Personally at over £15million and his wages, I wouldn't bother.
