  1. I was at that game (west ham?) Heard a snap in the old trinity
  2. You just have to think of it from his point of view. He's had a number of years in club in turmoil - whats keeping him here? He has young children. Regardless of if its 'only Southampton' if they are prepared to give him a bumper contract for four years... I know what I would do.
  3. Hmmm... Interesting post Richard. I can't imagine we've decided to tour Dallas to try and advertise ourselves to a buyer who hasn't previously shown any interest. I think it's incredibly unlikely that someone who hasn't already expressed an interest is going to hear we're there or see us play and think "hhhmm... Aston Villa, nice name,I might just buy them". So if it is for someone who has already expressed an interest, then they would have done that about 4months ago when we announced that we're going to tour Dallas? Maybe things are further along then we know. Or it is completely possible that Randy is just advertising the club to his American chums, who knows. If it's like Dallas I hope I'm going to walk out of the shower tomorrow and realise that the last three years under Lerner have all been a bad dream..... If its like Dallas, I hope somebody gets a carbine out in a book depository and blows Randy's head off
  4. You've let yourself down there, mate. it took me a while to realise it was a balloon. Wondered why somebody had left a litte red bag on a wall, also thought it could be a posh dog shit bag
  5. I probably shouldn't break the confidentiality agreement but Randy wants a Hershey bar and a soda float. He's giving his home in Birminghamshire to an orphanage.
  6. Proud history, yesterdays toy
  7. Proud history, sorry new girlfriend
  8. somebody tell him he'd be better coming over in a month or so when we have a game
  9. Whoever he wants to blame, let him. The reality of the situation is that its all his own fault. He threw money at it, which is fine if you are using it as a building block. His expenditure got him to Wembley and nearly into the champions league. The wages and contracts were not some sneaky con by agents and the managers. You pull the plug and sell your best players, there is only one outcome. Maybe a bit simplistic but it tells most of the story.
  10. thats the joy of being a sports journalist - you can make up whatever you like - the readers believe you for a day, until it proved incorrect - then they buy the next days paper and believe that. Even when its been proved incorrect some think 'no smoke..' I'm as gullible as anybody unfortunately!
  11. It sounds like they look for the right investment. They clearly have a lot of money so I don't think we can read much into their approach of Charlton and possible purchase of us. I'm not questioning their approach just whether the journalists are making it up
  12. So they go to buy charlton for 18million and withdraw their offer and then a year later try and buy villa for 150-200 million. Doesn't add up to me. Right now I'd take Ken Bates!
  13. I'd suggest have a sit down, think real hard and then do exactly the opposite. Then he will come to the correct decision.
  14. which part. He clearly lost interest. Why do you think O'Neill left? If you believe that he left because he's a arrogant child - I think you have fallen for one of the biggest bullshit smokescreens our owner has given.
  15. He was in over his head the day an oil sheikh rocked up at man city... This is why I don't really give a shit about Lerner - he came in and spent some money (he knew it needed doing, everybody knew it|) Then he realsed that he couldn't compete (Top four) So he decides thats enough. He gives us bullshit about following fair play rules and running the club prudently but in reality he's more or less killing the club for three or four years to make sure he can get as much money back as possible. Obviously thats his right, but being a good chairman - if he felt anything for the club he would run it normally until it is sold. feck him and feck the bullshit they gave us when they arrived. Just get out of our club, we were better off with Doug.
  16. oh my god, this isn't going to start the japanese rumour again. \Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
  17. Not a rumour though. But as I said here before, Khalid Al-Baltan (Al-Shabab FC former president) is interested in buying Aston Villa, He might be negotiating too. But I'm not sure how far he have gone with that. The rumour about that was right, He is interested. Not a rumour though. But as I said here before, Khalid Al-Baltan (Al-Shabab FC former president) is interested in buying Aston Villa, He might be negotiating too. But I'm not sure how far he have gone with that. The rumour about that was right, He is interested. how does shabab rank?
  18. Which is why its a concern him staying on. With limited funds and full support of majority of fans he achieved our worst ever premiership season. With less funds and fans on his back straight away how's he meant to do better? With no signings and a bit of luck with injuries we should do better. I don't think the squad needs a massive amount of money spent to be in the top half. If Lambert did have such a limited budget, the purchase of Kozak is really confusing (Even though I think hes a decent forward)
  19. I've been told he actually works for the federal government, which is why his info is spot on. He works out of Kwantico
  20. You're Kwan the right track anyway some are suggesting it was death by cox
