  1. Heart say 2-3 Villa, head says 3-3!
  2. They've already got quite a big one at the ground.
  3. Your prediction is as negative as the man's football was.
  4. We are turning into a very good team indeed. We just humiliated the third place team, who pride themselves on their mean defence, on their own ground. A utter delight.
  5. Isn't that what our current lot did on Tuesday?
  6. Does it include producing the perfect hard boiled egg, in between saves from messrs Neymar and Messi on a makeshift stove?
  7. Ultimately, Villa to win however it comes, but the ideal has to be a 'just' victory. I believe in order, however absurd that ultimately may be.
  8. Normally yes, but that was true throughout the match, so the final outcome was actually probably the fairest outcome.
  9. From the sublime to the ridiculous and back again. Utterly extraordinary. As someone said before the match, we've pressed 'Keegan mode'. In one way, it's a painful shame we don't have a defence because if we did, we'd w*nk on this pile of sh*t league, but in another way, if we had the perfectly formed team, Bruce may still be here! We are sooooo close to being perfect, it's annoying! Overall, love it though.
  10. Agreed, though you have to say, it's genuinely remarkable how much the whole team generally and Hutton in particular have improved their passing game in such a short space of time, thus opening the logical possibility that further improvement is not out of the question.
  11. It's not a case of either or. The best teams keep the ball and then use the flanks when it makes sense to do so. It isn't working all the time, but overall it definitely is working and the mix is good. Birmingham are direct, have been playing well and got beaten by us today.
  12. Nah, we're on the front foot and improving every game. He's going for it and there's no reason to believe it won't work, frailties notwithstanding. We have absolutely nothing to be afraid of.
  13. A bit lucky at times, undoubtedly still some defensive frailty, but we are dangerous as f*** going forwards and Bruce wouldn't have got us playing like this (consistently), in a million years. Love that we did it without McGinn as well.
  14. He could be all of the above. How about we wait and see without worrying too much about the eventual outcome?
  15. Agreed, but the ridiculous hyperbole helps the utterer to feel powerful by stating his opinion in such absolute terms. In fact, these pronouncements are merely a recognition of one's irrelevance and the ultimate futility of message board opinion sharing! Shout louder and maybe it will stick, mean something, etc. And yes, I'm feeling fine, thanks huns...
  16. Yet another positive development, Bruce merely expected the players to "put wor boots on", whereas Smith pushes the envelope by tying the laces.
  17. One in two here and at Bristol suggests he is a finisher. His numbers will improve along with the team's. Swapping Maupay for Hogan would be welcome, mind.
  18. Not at all. I'm sold, there's no turning back on this and no need to. Any kind of loss (even to them), can be absorbed, if lessons are learned and we stick to the game plan.
