  1. Well, IF true and he does go there, you can understand his desire not to move geographically, but after all the noise suggesting he was as good as ours, losing out to Fulham would not be a good look!
  2. I really hope that survey asked a hundred Villa fans about the likelihood of us signing him on a scale of 1 - 'Perfectly Reasonable' to 10 - 'Whacked off your nut on a Spice/K hybrid.
  3. Erica Roe. "They" are still imprinted on my 10 year old brain.
  4. In the eyes of our senior management, they all sit in roughly the same category of young rising talent, with something to prove. Despite having potential, none of them are proven. We will all have our opinions on if they will make it, but currently, if we signed any of them, they would be still be punts.
  5. Imagine being the type of person whose first reaction to a VillaReport news story is to be personally offended by the content. Some of our fans truly are as thick as mince.
  6. People say the Villa Facebook pages are full of drooling Alf Garnett word, but these top boys know the score...
  7. Does laughing count as a like? I suppose any attention is better than none.
  8. I find that behaviour so deeply weird and it gets weirder the longer they carry on despite it being more and more obvious they are fake. Can anyone truly be that desperate to be liked by random internet strangers?
  9. Big shame if he does go. Do City have any other fringe players that we could take?
  10. Jack's helium buddy is a superb put down. Imagine that being the one thing you are known for
  11. Another random thing I like about him is that I'm sure my 85 year old dad is also going to enjoy watching him as well. Some of Milot's runs are like the one's you see on those black and white reels, where the winger telegraphs the ball ten feet in front of him, past the wing back and still beats him for pace. Players like this are almost blessed, they see things early and just go for it, so other players just can't live with them.
  12. Just looked at his highlights video, which obviously only shows the good bits, but they are pretty good. Quick, excellent first touch, skilful and knows where the net is. Potentially a big upgrade on our existing wingers.
  13. I like your confidence. Maybe you should pledge to get Belhanda's face tattooed on your Bellenda if he does sign?
  14. On first glance you are right, but his tweets seem too boringly sincere to be made up. He doesn't appear to be making vain boasts like the other ITK saddos.
  15. I don't agree, we need a coherent looking team, which is pretty much the opposite.
  16. Didn't watch the play off final, but If Benrahma has been subdued and they lost, I think it means he's pretty much a dead cert for us. His performance potentially puts other higher placed teams off him and it means his price won't inflate further. I'd be surprised if this doesn't happen now.
  17. With respect, you didn't provide any context for the names you offered. So, you failed to mention that at the time we were looking, we were desperate in certain positions, we had a tiny budget thanks to fair play and we were near the bottom of the league, so Smith was hardly going to sign Messi, now was he? I would say it is also questionable as to how many players of any kind he got to choose himself last season, with the three you cited probably being as far from his preference as you could possibly imagine, but then I am only guessing at that, just like you are!
  18. The bloke is enormous. When he times whatever it is he is trying to do right, he is literally unstoppable (a la the Everton goal), but I think his size is also a hindrance at times. There were plenty of occasions where he looked really awkward on the ball last year, which is not a great quality for a forward! He's still got a helluva lot to do to prove that he can make it in my opinion. Plenty of raw potential and the pre-injury upturn in form has probably bought him some more time, but he just doesn't inspire confidence. We'll see.
  19. Will he though? I think that question mark, fuelled by his own seeming reluctance to sign a new contract, is what's fuelling some people's enthusiasm. You are probably right of course, but this is no age of reason.
  20. Bellingham just went for 'an initial £25m', so who knows.
  21. Well done Deano, learn from your mistakes please. Sorry for doubting you.
  22. Exactly right, nothing particularly worth celebrating, apart from the fact we stayed up, which means we get another chance to improve.
