Haha, I've had it off the road for just over a year now. Last winter I thought I'd finally do the bit of welding that it needed, which required me to take the windscreen out so I thought "I may as well take the back window out and replace the headliner and window seals that need doing, and discovered a load of rot around the back window. So I sorted all of that out and thought "Well... I may as well have a look at this dodgy looking patch on the 'trunk filler' panel" and discovered a previous owner had riveted a piece of paint can over a hole and gave it a thick skim of filler to hide it, on both ends of the panel, so I chopped those out and repaired it all and by that point I just decided to root out all the rod and repaire the whole lot. In that time I had to get panels from the US that got deplayed in shipping for 5 months, then when I got them discovered that they'd sent me one of the wrong panels, so I got a replacement that took another 2-3 months... But I'm back on track now. Still confident it will be back on the road for the summer.

Can anyone tell me where I can get hold of a programme at the Bescot, or VP for that matter. I see everyone walking around with one, but I can never find where they're being sold. Of course, being both an introvert and southern, I couldn't possibly ask anyone in person

From where I was sat I got to see Rabjohn up close in the first half and I thought she was excellent today. Skilful and calm on the ball. I was really pleased to see Lehmann score twice. She may not be our best player but I think she gets a lot of unwarranted abuse, not only from opposition supporters but from some of our own too.

The truth is, back in early 2015, probably around this time of year actually, I decided to take some time away as I had some personal stuff going on and realised I pretty much lived on VT. Then I guess I just got into the habit of not checking VT and that was kind of that. I think later in the year I had a look in, maybe posted a couple of times but was still out of the habit. Then my dad passed away suddenly and I just kind of lost interest in most things for some time, including football. It didn't help that Villa were becoming a joke, in fact it ended up being the relegation season. Ajax didn't have a lot going on and Holland couldn't qualify for anything. As time went on, I got back into football but didn't feel any urge to get back onto any forum and just assumed that other posters who I enjoyed interacting with might have moved on too and maybe the feeling just wouldn't be the same on VT. So 8 years passed and last night I was checking some old hard disks for a digital copy of a workshop manual I'm looking for and came across an old bookmarks file so I had a look and saw VT at the top and thought I'd have a look for old times' sake. Did a vanity search of my username and saw all the wild rumours and theories about me and Baselayers I can honestly say I have no idea who was behind the Baselayers gimmick, whoever they were, I did speak to them over DM a couple of times about nothing particularly interesting, just a "hey, how are you doing?" kind of thing. To begin with, I did think it was a possibility that it was JJ but in the end I just knew it wasn't but I enjoyed playing along with them anyway. So there you have it. Baselayers is someone else, I don't know who. I have not gone to Lego heaven, I'm into Subbuteo these days and am working on a Villa women's team when I have some free time not restoring my car. I still have a head full of luxurious long hair and an even thicker beard and you may even spot me at VP tomorrow if you're there.

So... what is the basis for people thinking that me and Baselayers were the same person? That we apparently left VT around the same time?
