  1. Okore was absolutely awful last night. Scored one own goal and then attempted to score another with a deft lob. What was he actually trying to achieve with the own goal? Opposition everywhere in the box and his body shape suggests that he wanted to pass it to someone close by? WHy wouldn't he have just put his foot through it? Then there was the point where he was boxed into a corner and rather than attempting to clear (and potentially get a goal kick/throw-in via a deflection) he accepted that he couldn't do anything positive so he just passed it out for a throw.
  2. Okore and Richards in particular are WAY too eager to stop an attack to the point of putting themselves completely out of position. How many time last night did one of them sprint to pressure a striker leaving a hole which Hutton or Amavi had to fill, resulting in more space on the wing. I've honestly never seen defending as bad as this in my entire life watching football. Get f***ing rid.
  3. I don't think Gollini, Elphick, Tshibola or McCormack will be tainted by the deadwood still at Villa but it's clear as day to me that players like Richards, Hutton, Okore, Cissokho, Bunn, Ayew, Bacuna and Gestede are all totally f***ed in terms of confidence and I would be inclined to get rid of almost all of them. Ayew in particular really disappointed last night. I know he scored and looked good for half an hour but after that he became a petulant prat.
  4. Richards is god awful in that clip but what the f*** was Bacuna think with that pass? I know it's been brought up before but I just cannot get my head around it
  5. Struggling to get to grips with this one.
  6. 100% according to who? Genuine question.
  7. There is absolutely no chance this will happen. Doesn't fit the criteria and I just can't see a championship club spending 17mil on anyone
  8. Hernandez is absolutely rapid as well. Was garbage in the prem but so were that whole side... Only 25/26 so plenty of scope for improvement and he was a boss with Dybala in THAT Palermo side.
  9. Met him a few times. Quite polite, very hardworking, terrible dress sense. I actually posted in his thread that he brought tickets to Villa games for some of the staff a few times too.
  10. Met a few in the last 12 months - Cissokho, Martin Keown, N'Zogbia, Joe Cole, worked occasionally with McSheffrey and Craig Reid as well as the above and Ayew is the only one that came across as a d*ck.
  11. He was standing with a friend waiting for a table to become available in Rodizio Rico - a pretty casual place so I thought I could ask for a picture or an autograph. I said hello and told him that I was a huge Villa fan and asked if I could have a photo with him. He sort of rolled his eyes and turned his back on me, spoke to his friend in French and turned back to me sniggering and said "okay". Didn't smile in the photo and when I said thanks and shook his hand he didn't reply. Could be a language barrier thing but it just didn't go down well.
  12. I'm not sure if it's just me but I don't rate or like the bloke. Met him in The Cube one night and he was a bit of a d**k and whenever I see him on the pitch he looks OKAY but his attitude when he loses the ball just stinks.
  13. And in 17 years time we'll be saying "17 years ago, £12m could buy you Ross McCormack and now can't even buy you Marlon Harewood Jnr".
  14. So Xia said that if others play dirty why should we play nice?... Following this, we've likely snatched McCormack from Norwich's clutches and now are rumored to be in for Diame ahead of his move to Newcastle. Are we just going to nick everyone's transfer targets now?
  15. I think you're right. They did do well for that 5 game stretch and it was a little unfair to chuck Vlaar straight back in ahead of Clark. Having said that, it's more fair to judge him on the other 155 games he played for us though and he was just sadly not up to scratch.
  16. It was the end of 2014 because Lambert was still in charge and wasn't it Vlaar that he brought back in ahead of Clark? Either way, Clark has done sweet FA for at least 20 months soo....
  17. So nice just to be having some news regarding transfers IN again. Feels like an actual decade since Tshibola joined!
  18. So what's he done in the three years since then?
  19. Aahhh, I don't know how comfortable I am with XIa calling people out for betraying us on Twitter Love having him on there and I love his honesty but this looks poor.
  20. Never disliked Guzan as a bloke but his confidence is shot with us and has in turn made him a complete liability. It's a shame but glad to see him go. Good luck Brad
