  1. I get what your saying but I do think this is super harsh. 99 times out of 100 that ball either misses Hefele (sp?) or bounces off him and goes some other than the goal 20 yards behind Gollini.
  2. I think what we've decided is that assigning blame to Elphick, Gollini or lady luck isn't going to get us anywhere. There are loads of 'ifs' and 'buts' but at the end of the day, it's a new team, we've played well aside from this incident and we will, based on current form, only get better. I like this team and I like where we're going.
  3. Was he? S**t. *Please replace RB's with Full backs.
  4. Here's the bit from Birmingham Mail too (Scroll down a little bit to find it).
  5. Birmingham Mail running some gossip about signing Trippier on loan from Spuds but here's the article from RAV. What a signing this would be. Clicky
  6. The kids played against Wolves on Monday so might have been too tired to be selected for last night's game.
  7. I know it feels like it but we didn't actually lose Seriously though, agree with the above. We go again!
  8. After Jedinak (which I think is a fantastic signing at our level) I reckon we need a proper RB, a right mid and maybe another striker in that order of preference. Hear me out. Right back - Obvious one. Hutton is literal human garbage. Right mid - Ayew is not a proper right mid/winger. He's not great at tracking back and with his attitude I don't really want him covering the new right back and making a lot of tackles. This would allow him to operate solely as a striker to compete with Gestede and McCormack up top with RHM as fourth choice. Plus, we don't have any other natural right wingers in the team who can play regularly (Traore - fitness, Green - too young to be a regular this season) Striker - Probably the least of my worries at the moment but a loan signing of someone like Bamford would obviously be a big boost in terms of competition. Would give us 5 strikers for two places though which might be a bit too much.
  9. Ha! Sorry, three games. But is three enough to judge a player on then? Is that the cut off point? The so called "serious errors" are your opinion on it dude. I thinks it's way too soon to call and what I've seen of him aside from two freak incidents (my opinion) is that he's strong, vocal, about 10x better than Guzan and about 15x better than Bunn. That's good enough for me.
  10. So you think he aimed it at the striker?
  11. This is the best thing to happen this season. PLEASE get this over the line!
  12. No way was last night's goal his fault. Put his foot right through it and what keeper/defender/manager can legislate for a clearance to be ricocheted into their net from what, 20 yards out? Add to this that we had 17 other shots on goal and at least one of them should have been buried. Should have been out of sight. The Sheffield Wednesday goal was a bit closer to his fault. He sliced his clearance, yes, but Elphick tried to deal with it before it bounced off Forrestieri, ricocheted back off him and rolled right into the path of the striker. Again, how can you legislate for that? The way I see it, we've conceded two goals in the championship this season and both have been flukes. Unfortunately those flukes have cost us 3 points which makes it a little harder to swallow but you'd hope that over the course of the season these type of things will even themselves out. When was the last time we scored an incredibly jammy ricochet?
  13. God, you're actually right. If only Xia would've come in sooner!
  14. That's not how the press had it. They said that he snubbed us to join Newcastle? Surely if the terms had been agreed and contracts submitted to the FA there's no going back from there? What do I know anyway, I'm just sat here waiting for the next transfer
  15. Also said that we'd signed Doumbia in January.
  16. Plus Ayew a shite. I've finally admitted it to myself. Don't like the bloke, hate his attitude.
  17. Would you be embarrassed if we signed Berahino?
  18. Whilst I agree with some of your points, I'm trying to look at this as: It's a player RDM wants. Great previous experience in the Championship. Good pedigree and character. Has a bit of Prem experience. Honest and hardworking. I think it's more of a case of looking at the impact on the whole team and not just the individual. Fingers crossed.
  19. If us and Borough both have our bids accepted I can see him going to them over us. We did well with snatching McCormack from Norwich but to do the same to a Prem team might prove a step too far. Unless he has taste, of course.
  20. He had about 6 yards (?) to react to a ball not moving that quickly. Pretty sure most of the people of this forum could've dealt with it without putting into our net!
