  1. is that the spanish scott carson in goal looks the spit
  2. I cant see Fulham escaping it this year, they are really, really bad. (still managed to beat us easily) and have got an awful running of games. there seems a conflict of interest there with the owner getting in curbishilly. The other 2 i really wouldn't want to predict, could be anyone, there is usually 2 near enough nailed on in the next month then 1 gets dragged into it. would love the "pride of the midlands" to get dragged into it, mickey mouse club have got well above there stations last few seasons.
  3. There is no way on gods earth im signing that for those rats. I stopped over at one of my mates in Coventry last year we went to a bar in centre for a few ales, around 11ish a group of around 10 blokes belted out 'Sh#t on the Villa' Cringe wasn't the word. funny sounding creatures with blue nose mentality, used to love going to highfield road and beating them
  4. He could be like me and using the photo as a dart board. The bitter little man... (yes, the irony there is ironic... I really am bitter too) there's nothing wrong with being a little bitter, Im a bitter little man myself
  5. Out of interest if the club were to be taken over what sort of owner would people be hoping for? I believe a club with knowledgeable footballing people on the board and a good annual sustainable cash injection for transfers wages etc can succeed at the top, top half of the league that being 6th,7th,8th. I do wonder how many people would want (dream) of a man city style sheik running our club? I've spoken to a lot of fans in the past (not just villa) who say they wouldn't want that for there club, how many of them say that out of jealousy i don't know. I personally wouldn't have a problem seeing some of the best players in the world running around in the claret and blue and us competing with Europe's elite at the expense of a rich oil sheik owning us.
  6. Pat murphy Paul Faulkner CEO of @AVFCOfficial has just told me he's spoken to Randy Lerner, who's rubbished stories that he's looking to sell up.
  7. Not for sale confirmed by pf
  8. He often stayed over and helped the young gk's train. Also put alot of extra hours in with guzan which no doubt is why his game has stepped up in last couple of years along with the extra playing time that is. top bloke and will be a very good gk coach if he takes that road
  9. Shall i go on Wikipedia and edit an unknown Brazilian midfielders club to Aston Villa
  10. I think its madness we haven't bought an AM in, crazy. we've struggled all season for someone who can put there foot on the ball and make things happen. we've got ourselves into a decent postion league wise, an AM would really have seen us push on.
  11. Paul Lambert insists Aston Villa will cope without a 'No.10' if he fails to recruit a playmaker before tonight's deadline #avfc Translates to there will be no, NO.10
  12. I think he needs games under his belt, in a three man midfield I think delph, someone with abit of flair and sylla as the destroyer could be very effective
  13. He did ok when he come on, hes steady and knows the game you need that experience. I remember when we played reading at vp they had jason roberts playing for them, not the best but hes been around. He was drawing fouls of our young centre backs and making a nuisance of himself and it caused us problems.
  14. I really cant see how he's getting games he's awful. Runs round like a headless chicken, giving fouls away, its like he's chasing his shadow half the time jumping on players backs. I cant see what he brings
  15. Probably the same kind of people that jerk off using sandpaper Whatever floats their boat i guess It gives them some sort of power trip, And when gullible people follow them and retweet there shite it just feeds the monster. I really do think most of them believe there own made up crap
  16. I loved Alpay he was a no nonsense, nasty bit of work on the pitch, But more importantly a very good defender. And a great servant to his country with almost 90 caps for turkey. I had the pleasure of meeting him in a shopping centre the once he was with his wife and i have to say he was the nicest bloke you would want to meet, took time to chat about the villa and football in general. Top bloke
  17. http://lockerdome.com/bbcsporf/6169461380096065/6297821510901780 Not sure if any one has seen the link ive posted, but for me just sums up the modern day chelsea plastic fan I detest
  18. Super Tommy Johnson... I loved him... My enduring memory of him came at one of my most memorable away trips - November 1995 Upton Park. Aston Villa marginally won the first half 1-0, but we came out rampant in the second half. A delicious move culminated in Super Tom scoring a fine goal in front of the Villa fans. He came over to about 5 feet from me and did his little 'cheeky chappie' celebration... He f**king loved it... we f**king loved it... and I loved him even more after that. It's funny how magic moments like that can underline just how special a player can be in the eyes of one fan, and overlooked by others. Consolation goal for Hammers in the form of a thundered penalty from a certain Julian Dicks... Honorable mentions in that game to Marco Boogers (lol lol lol) and Alvin Martin? Final Score - West Ham 1 Aston Villa 4 (bonfire night - ish) My all time favourite away match experience (Wembley excepted). Followed closely by White Hart Lane 1994-95... the first night ever of the National Lottery. God i remember that west ham game like it was yesterday. We were brilliant that second half they couldn't live with us. The first time i heard "oh what fun it is to see the villa win away". certain away days stick in your head and that one will be with me for the rest of my life, Cracking team, good football and a brilliant day
  19. Whatever happened to Fernando Nelson? I used to like him, Anyone know why he went?
  20. Steven Ireland for me the cretin, The amount of times I had arguments with people over this bloke is unbelievable. Cant believe the amount of people who still thought he could do a good job for us up until the day he went to stoke. He clearly never cared about the villa, and was only interested in the ££££. The way he would half arse jog around the pitch infuriated me. im getting mad thinking about seeing him in the claret and blue shirt now. complete and utter tosser!
  21. If it is to do with living arrangements, I really don't see the problem. The bloke is getting paid thousands of pounds a week to do a job most people could only dream of doing. i think relocated an hour away from Sheffield is a very small sacrifice to be honest. and he should be very grateful to villa for plucking him out of league 1 and giving him the opportunity to play on the biggest stage. These footballers really do need a reality check
