  1. Ah yes, I know which one. I was planning on renting that out, thanks for spoiling the ending :winkold:
  2. I'm an occasional recreational user, It's been a few months sice I had any Charlie and even longer since I smoked a funny fag. Used to a bit mad 'fer it in my youth I guess, but then you hit about 21 and realise what it's doing to your body. I've tried most of them, even smoked a bit of Heroin once a long long time ago. Didn't know what it was until afterwards, made me very very ill. Dodged a bullet there I think! Coke is a funny one. Some people can get away with doing it once in a while, say on a friday night or in my case at the odd party, yet for others it can take over their lives and leave them in a right old pickle. One things for sure, it's sweeping the nation right now and there's absolutely **** all to stop it. I'd be a hypocrite to say nobdody should ever touch the stuff, I just wish everyone had the willpower to say no when it gets too much.
  3. General, I hope your recent slip of the tongue doesn't land you or the club in any hot water. The consequesces could be disasterous (you asked to stop posting here). I'm sure Randy/Martin etc will understand that you are a human being and human beings make mistakes. Anyway, up the villa.
  4. Do people not realise this thread is 4 years old? At the time it was a valid question. Olly was potentialy the best centre half in the leage at the time or at the very least top 5. Of course he dropped off a LOT in subsequent years.
  5. Uh, I just voted for the tories. I feel dirty....
  6. They're both better than 'The Premiership'. Thank god that didn't last.
  7. Ahhhh, so the steroid era is YOUR fault I much prefer a pitching duel, horses for courses I guess. I've never understood why the DH was introduced in the first place. And don't get me started on the All Star game deciding home advantage in the WS! It's meant to be fun FFS!!
  8. Or get rid of the DH from the AL. Gives the AL an unfair advantage in interleague games.
  9. They're not allowed to swear, top Mod is a right clearing in the woods. It can get very heated, that was pretty tame as it's only the second game. When seasons are often decided by one game, every game counts.
  10. Yankees and the Mets are moving. Yankees are only moving across the road mind.
  11. Oh they do, read some of this. And it's only the second game of the season!!
  12. I love it. Massive Braves fan, have been for many many years. Since before the Big 3 actualy. Think we've got a real chance this year. Solid Starting pitching depth and an AL offence. Watch out Mutts and the Phillies, we're coming for you!
  13. I have no particular beef with Millwall though. The stripey filth on the other hand are intolerable as it is. Can't imagine what they'll be like if they win the FA cup.
  14. What's really bothering me is that West Brom might win the thing without having to face a top flight side.
  15. 2. 1 of them will either be a short term deal or a loan. Though it won't be the end of the world if we don't get anybody IMO. Guess I'm unique in thinking that.
  16. Where is that? I ask because someone took a great picture in one of this months magazine competitions of a hummer grille, which had those exact windows with the blue pattern on reflecting in the chrome It's the Radison SAS hotel in Brum.
  17. Taken with a sony k850i. Not bad for a mobile phone eh.....
  18. Glad to see I'm not the only one waving the Redknapp flag. Yes, it does help that he's English and no, I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting an English manager in charge of the England team.
  19. General - My dad (Neil) and his girlfriend (Claire) have recently opened a pub in the City. It's called the Gough Arms and is situated on the corner of Upper Gough Street and Marshall Street. We're hoping to aim our daytime trade at business men like yourself looking for a nice friendly atmosphere to have a bit of lunch and perhaps a meeting or two. We've even got WiFi! I know you're a busy man, but if you're ever in the area and fancy some scran we'd be honoured to have you, I'll even treat you to a pint! Same for Randy too or infact anybody associated with the club. Yours, Dave. Edit - The free pint is only available to you, Randy or Martin. I'm not a billionaire you know :winkold:
  20. General - Have the club concidered appointing a director of football, or at the very least someone to handle transfer negotiations? If not, do you think this is something you might concider in the future? I'm not talking about choosing the players, of course that should solely be down to the manager and his scouts. The stock answer seems to be "Martin chooses the players", which is of course how it should be. But I can't help but think it would be better for all concerned, including the manager himself, if he were to then hand over the negotiations to someone better equiped. Apologies if this has been answered before. Dave.
  21. Which is exactly why I prefered Grandad. He didn't need a catchphrase to be funny.
  22. World Cup, though I do love the Olympics and the Baseball World Series. What the **** is the AFL grand final?
