He's an exciting player but he's not done anything to suggest he's worth those wages to us, as pleased as I am to have him at VP in our position that's a lot of money that could have been used to bring in a good forward which we are missing.

Seriously who cares where they come from? as long they are capable of doing the job. I see the list of foreign managers who have successfully managed clubs and those who haven't but there have been many homegrown managers who have failed so just get the man. (I have no idea who that is though) I'm obviously worried because whoever it is has a very difficult job to do, as we have seen Sherwood was the latest to fail. We can't afford another mistake.

We have a massive task ahead, one I think we will fail with due to the lack of real quality in the squad. I truly hope I'm proved wrong as I love this club. I just can't figure out what is our best line up as not one player us a "must" start. The best I can come up with is; Guzan Richards Okore Clark Amavi Sanchez Gana Traore Gil Grealish Ayew But that's only a guess as all have obviously had problems so far.

With the squad we have SAF would struggle to put together a decent team capable of winning enough games to stay up. We just can't score enough, I had never seen Gestede before he joined us and tbh I still wish I hadn't. Whomever the new manager is they will struggle, in all likelihood he will look at players like Lescott, Gabby, Richardson and CNZ and think they are the old heads we need. They are not and all the while the new manager tries to find a working formation with this squad we will continue to lose games. I truly fear even after only 10 games we are too far gone, January is almost impossible to buy good players besides the tosser who owns us isn't going to spend any money even if they were available. I will however support the new manager as it will not his fault that we are in the position we find ourselves. I lay that blame fully at Randy Lerners door.

Hahaha, I just read a headline that said Sherwood say's we will be sing his name in 4 weeks. My guess is mght be a lot sooner than that maybe by 3.30pm today he might be hearing his name sang "f### off Sherwood, the Villa is ours" I wonder if that's what he meant? as I couldn't be arsed reading it. I can't understand why he's still in charge. I'm not usually quick to call for a manager to go (except TSM) but Sherwood looks completely lost. He and us need to be put out of our misery before it's too late. We won't win another game with Sherwood in charge imo as under him we are just like the team when Billy McNeal took us down, absolutely bloody useless.

This isn't the team Sherwood will go with but at the moment this is probably the line up I would try, when fit I'd like to see Okore back with Richards at RB. If Sinclair starts going missing then I'd get him off sharpish and put Ayew on. I've no idea where Ilore or Traore will fit into the team once they are both fit enough but with so many player's either not good enough, unfit or out of form it shouldn't be to long before we see them play. I was there every game home and away in the 86/87 season and it was painful to watch, different era but this team is beginning to remind me of that year. Stoke are there for the taking but can Sherwood pick the right team? make the right changes to get the win? I doubt it.

Ah bless, I don't care how many of you jump in to defend Westwood he's the problem in midfield. Until he's dropped we will struggle as he's not good enough. If he's our best passer then this club will be down by Christmas, stats for "tap" football might be good but he creates nothing.
