  1. I still reckon there's gonna be a spike in Brum based births in ~40 weeks time. This ain't over ... as I watch a morbidly obese woman clear her throat and position a glass of water on stage. COME ON JACK DO THE RIGHT THING!
  2. 7-2 was nice, but surely we're due a 9-0
  3. Bud this is wheels up, jets scrambled bomber formation. Target: Europe
  4. Resident mad man checking in. He's still a Villa player. Not a whisper anywhere about what flight he's on. Did I spend a while looking through Manchester and alternative airports? Is there a Gulfstream just after leaving Manchester? Lots of questions. Very few facts. I'll go take my tablets and put on the nice white gown.
  5. Don't underestimate how influential Nike have been, or any other company looking to get a piece of the action. His Nike deal is up this year (end of season perhaps?). I'm surprised there wasn't more of a push from Adidias on our side. Nassef Sawiris owns ~8% of Adidas. I presume we drop Kappa at some point for Adidas?
  6. ASM from NUFC is an idea but Scotey Ashley will want 50-60 and at that price, just like Tammy, he's not likely to have huge sell on value. I'd be surprised if we moved for him but it looks like I haven't a clue what I'm talking about. Those prices are only based on money in on Ings to Villa though. While it's entirely possible, it isn't an accurate indicator of the future by any means.
  7. One of the words in FFP is fair. It's unclear why UEFA chose it though.
  8. I'm 36 and it ain't easy. I can't even imagine the devastation for 8, 9, 10 year olds. Excellent. Wait, do we agree on the transfer or the sectioning? **** I hate this shit so much. Maybe they should have buggered off to the ESL! Oh it's insanity alright. Especially as it's a case of history repeating itself, somewhat. I've no problems with him playing for England, FWIW.
  9. At the risk of being sectioned - I still don't believe he'll play at Man City this coming season.
  10. The papers have nothing. He was all but confirmed weeks ago! I dont doubt Man City have bid £100m that this will go on "until the weekend". The start of the season is a defined date, one we all have in mind. A placemarker, christ its the start of the season! Its the damn window that is the date to keep in mind though. We've deadline day ahead of us etc. Jim White is on holidays in preparation to dust off the golden tie. It's only tabloid season. They've got nothing and this runs for almost a month more! I'm Jack's agent, knowing full well where he's gonna be and exactly what he wants. You better believe I'm adding some fairly optimistic clauses, moon shot ideas. Wage increases, assist bonuses, motm targets, trophy bonuses, Ballon D'ór wins. All the **** drippings baby! He'll sign alright, for Aston Villa.
  11. To quote myself.... When Cork City (my home club) drew Genk in the Europa League they were a bit of an unknown. City at the time were probably on par with SPL minus Celtic and Rangers. Every European tie came with some trepedation. After a 0-1 loss away we still fancied having a cut off them. Bailey of all Genks players stood out the nost due to his pace but it was Wilfred Ndidi who probably went onto bigger things in the short term. https://youtu.be/abIw2ui9P88
  12. Ballers that good will bang em in pretty rapidly. Good luck defending electric pace from Bailey, defence splitters from Buendia, Jack running at you and Watkins terrorising the entire back line.
  13. Above 11th in our sleep. Targeting a top 6 poistion by Xmas. Finishing 6th to 8th.
  14. Strictly speaking the Tier system is in descending order S, A, B, C, D. Theres a wide open birth for the SAD bastard. A smattering of accurate if telegraphed calls cuddled by PSG in for Messi, Ronaldo and Pogba.
  15. Was he involved in the Gold Cup? A poor mans Euros for NA and the Caribbean. I wouldn't put too much stock in his travelling. Alphonso Davies is doing the rounds here in Vancouver this week. He'd slip into a virtually identical summer profile as Bailey, save for an imminent transfer.
  16. Just listened to the most recent Tifo IRL. Gotta lean back on what Seb said. Picking up Grealish for any price inflates Kane's, at least for Levy. Top stat - Kane has more PL golden boots than Grealish has PL seasons. Football is after all a game that awards those who score more, the win. If I was Pep, I'd bin the old Spurs "lump", try get Grealish and target either of the superstars in Paris or Dortmund who have time on their side. It's a fool's errand either way. I casually predicted neither Grealish nor Kane join City this window, but I hadn't examined Kane in sufficient depth. Kane has snookered himself. He's a PL star but plays all the football in the known universe, bookended by ankle damage. Kane is 28, where is he in 3 or 4 years? He's not yesterdays man, not by a long shot but I think he may be doomed to rot at Spurs while Jack blossoms into England's fulcrum going into Qatar, as a Villa legend.
  17. Between Ty Bracey and Villa Analytics I've managed to learn nothing in the last few days. A Saint Maximam from NUFC - get lost. Worried about Bailey 5 days is too long for a transfer Douglas Luiz plays for Brazil, so that means something .... At least they're trying. The amount of absolute waffle, speculation and cluelessness however is very stark.
  18. He's a lying bastard. Has been for years. He gets the eyes of 16 year olds who follow players not clubs.
