  1. We haven't been great previously at getting transfer money for academy products (JG aside...). Liverpool sold Harry Wilson for £12m this summer, he's a year older than O'Hare. I'm sure they milked him for loan fees too. Sometimes I think we've sometimes been a bit too quick to let players go.
  2. Reckon he could start at LW? Traore, Bailey and Buendia all prefer the right. Ings and Ollie both prefer the middle. Who else is there bar El Ghazi? Especially as Buendia has a knock, Bailey nowhere to be seen and Ings has only just arrived… it does make me wonder if Ash could start the season there.
  3. Is he even in the U.K. yet? Wasn’t at VP today as far as I can tell. What’s the hold up? Looks unlikely to be in the frame for Watford.
  4. It was during a podcast with the Irish newspaper, The Southern Star.
  5. I wish she'd actually ask some insightful questions. When she interviewed Danny Ings, she asked him what he thought of the gym. Who cares. And now she's asking about what Dean thinks about little kids at Villa Park. Ask Smith stuff like - how Ings and Watkins will link up - can they play together/ or will they rotate - what role Buendia/Bailey have been signed to play (RM? CAM?) - is Young just a back-up full back - will he be considered at LW/RW? - what are his plans to help us keep possession and press better, etc.
  6. I haven't insinuated I hate him. My comment was "I can't believe he's still here" and was directed at our lack of outgoing transfer activity, more than anything. He's copping some minor flak in here because he's posting drooling emojis on a public forum on a highly emotive topic. It was obviously going to touch some nerves when it's quite raw at the moment. It's not helped by the fact that he's previously ran to the media and declared Jack needs to leave us. I'm sure it will be forgotten in a week. Don't remember any of the others drooling at Jack leaving - but I agree it's trivial.

Grealish went to a worse team in League One, was scrapping relegation at 18 with Notts County. Ipswich will be aiming for play-offs. Barry has a lot of development to do physically (as Jack did at the same age) - I think this would be a great move for him.

Yep, Ipswich will be aiming to finish in the top 6 in League One. Really good move for him if he can earn a place in the starting XI.
  9. Not sure why you have any sentiment towards him, it’s clearly not reciprocated. His 25 league goals are irrelevant. He’s not good enough and I’m shocked he’s still here. Hope he never plays another minute.
  10. Can't believe he is still here to be honest. If he plays for us at all this season we're in trouble. Hopefully he'll be be drooling at Jack from the Championship soon enough.
  11. Yep, just PR garbage from his management team. Wouldn't expect anything else from him, mind. I really do hope he flops there. Be interesting to see how Spurs manage the Kane situation. I imagine Levy will take a much more hard-line approach.
  12. Nah, it's his story too I think the lesson (as proven by Grealish) is to not get too emotionally attached to the players. JPB is just a young kid trying to make it as a footballer. I'm sure he'd join City in a heartbeat, the same way we'd release him if he wasn't very good. It's just business.
  13. Not sure you can so pissed off when our own players are sending the same message haha. Cash, Watkins, McGinn et al.
  14. Did it all single-handedy, did he. Guess if he hasn’t has to miss all of those games he’d have won the treble. I don’t blame him, but the hero/legend talk is nauseating. A very good player who is now an ex-player, nothing more.
  15. Haha hopefully the Dean Smith thread will overtake this one eventually.
  16. Tweeted the video himself though, with no original source. Tragic whichever way it happened though.
  17. His assist was in the 81st minute to make it 2-1, hardly garbage time. Deano took far too long to move Jack away from the LW that game and when he eventually did, his assist came from the right.
  18. In a friendly too - what on earth was he thinking sliding in like that. Fofana was set for a great season too, real shame. Leicester in a bit of trouble at CB now, with Evans injured at the moment as well. Stark reminder we need to bring in a fourth CB before the window closes. Can't even think who we'd play there if we lost Mings and Konsa. Hause and Targett, with Young at LB? Bogarde?
  19. Good player, and we definitely needed someone to help rotate with Ollie - so it’s a positive signing. £30m for a 29 yo with 1 year left on his contract and a bad injury record is steep - but it’s not my money. I wonder how much we’re paying him. It moved quickly - were Spurs really interested? I am surprised it’s only a 3 year contract we’ve given him too.
  20. We built the team around him for our own gain, not his. Yes, he's benefited from it but we clearly have to. I just want the saga over now. I hope this doesn't disillusion the owners - but will be a huge battle to even finish top half, considering we couldn't do that with Jack.
