  1. McGinn and dribbling it into the person challenging him, name a more iconic duo
  2. Never seen a villa player scuff it as much as Trezeguet. Needs binning off asap
  3. Lacklustre closing down for the Newcastle equaliser too. Not sure why he’s stopped working, because he isn’t going to stay playing Premiership football based on the ‘quality’ of his left foot.
  4. There’s been 7-8 worse players today, and two Konsa and Martinez were both more at fault for the goal.
  5. Smith just has no idea how to play without Grealish, really showing how limited a manager he is. Sanson has looked dreadful too.
  6. There next four fixtures are against 2nd-5th, let’s see where they are after them.
  7. Barkley > Ramsey, surely. We seriously lack any quality without Jack. Yes, Ross has been out of form since his injury - but at least he’s shown he has quality earlier this season, Ramsey has never.
  8. Disagree, at least you can notice Barkley is playing
  9. Rarely shows for the ball, looks scared, only plays safe passes. Not criticising him as a prospect - he’s still so young - but really struggling to see what Smith sees in him atm.
  10. We're bypassing the midfield three every time we get the ball. None of them are good enough in possession to take the ball on the turn and play it forwards.
  11. Just gave the ball away under very little pressure. Don't doubt he could be one for the future, but would rather he didn't start again this season. He's been anonymous against the worst team in the league. We have Luiz, Sanson and Barkley on the bench.
  12. Ramsey offers energy but without Grealish and against the team bottom of the league, starting him ahead of Barkley looks a poor decision. We're already playing Nakamba. The 11 players on the pitch don't have enough quality on the ball to win this game.
  13. Apologies. The line drawn onto a photo via MS paint is clearly exactly straight, my bad.
  14. Haha sorry, but that line is definitely not parallel to the 18 yard line. Edit: whatever lines people draw on photos taken from their TV - the point is it was close enough that it should have been checked by VAR. The fact it wasn’t is a scary precedent.
  15. Was he though? Honestly don’t know you can be so sure, because from the still he looks off. Point is, there has been absolutely no consistency. Even if he is onside, they didn’t even check and that’s the issue. They were so desperate to wriggle out of that shocking decision in our City game, that they’ve re-written the offside rule.
  16. Yep, you're right. Sorry, deleted my post when I read back and saw @omariqy's explanation.
  17. For a team that is struggling to score goals, I think Connor is a great option. He has fantastic technique from long-range and is a really good set-piece taker. He also has that 'knack' of creating space in the box/being in the right place to score. I agree, he certainly wouldn't help teams shore up defensively - but tbf to @Zatman he singled out 4 of the 5 lowest scoring teams in the league.
  18. I agree, his goal against WBA in the play-off semi was absolutely huge. Flipped the game/tie on its head. Was a screamer as well. I'll also always remember his strike against Blues, great day out and another great goal. It is starting to look like he will need to move on for first team football. I certainly wouldn't begrudge him staying (he's been a great servant) - but will wish him the best wherever he goes.
  19. Signing for Wednesday - good luck to him, hope he does well.
