  1. Milner was great against United. It was gutting seeing him, young and barry involved in one of the biggest games of the season in other teams colours.
  2. Just the type of country you want hosting the world cup
  3. Laursen Bouma and Mellberg with walker for me
  4. really, such as? In series one there are big parts that just seem to unbelivable. Sorry but some of this may be spoilers so ill right it in a round about way The recovery of a certain body from the ocean floor by the main bad guy. How? Not **** possible without a lot of eqiuptment He knows the guy is coing into his apartment fairly regularly. Why not set up a camera? How does the main character repeatedly get hold of the drugs to knock people out without somethign flagging up? Dexter never wears a hair net or covers his hairin anyway when killing. DNA everywhere. Even after clearing a room of the sheets he would be leaving dna. Not one one the ppl he kills has had anyne report them missing or anything, I know theyre bad people but its likely one of them would have had someone report them. Its just not as tidy a show as some others such as the wire, but thatmakes it lighter and an easier watch. I love the show but I just cant rate it up there with the wire or sopranos
  5. Id expect to see him in the MLS, Middle East or at a push Padova. I cant see him playing for another Italian or european club. Besides this weekends boring scores, Serie A is shaping up to be av ery interesting season, and its happening at the perfect time for e as Imbored stupid of the Premier League
  6. Still heartbreaking watching him in another teams shirt. We seemed to have the makings of an incredible first 11 but spread out over a few years, so we were always a little short. Young going was teh definate end of an era for me, the most fun era ive had watching and following the villa so far
  7. Just started watching dexter and a third of a way through sason 2. Really enjoying it and its great TV but there are huge gaps and leaps of faith needed to believe it so its not up there with Sopranos or the wire
  8. It seems to divide VT! I mat start adding PP (poo post) to the end of posts from the toilet.
  9. Here? Your posting from the toilet? I thought I was the only person who did that, I wonder how many others may own up
  10. Im with Mr Dck on this, I have a feelin he'll turn up at sunderland. Expectations arent too high, no major recent success to build on and they dont mind throwing a bit of money about. He could do with them what he did with us, spend a load and get to toward the top 6. The Northern Ireland job is possibly just too difficult a job with the players available so would tarnish his record. Made for Jim Magilton
  11. Its the lap of honour that I love. I bet there was some 12 year football geek somewhere in the crowd tugging on his dads shirt going 'Dad i dont think we have qualified check the rules...'
  12. Jesus H. Christ I want this!!! Im also addicted to chocloate milk. Ive always liked the stuff but living in Canada it just became a daily thing, and now in Korea every street has a newsagent type store selling cartons for 60p or less so im having 3 or 4 a day. Im keen to find out how much suger is in these as it surely cant be good for me!
  13. I agree that breaking bad went of the boil season 3 and 4. I dont think it can get anywhere near the Sopranos (though im bias as ive watched sopranos all the way through about 10 times). Saying that breaking bad is excellent Tv
  14. Was going to start a thread promoting this but did a quick search and found this. Ive got every issue so far, though only in PDF. Im hooked, and at the moment you can pay whatever you want for a pdf issue from their website, so a great chance for people to try it out. If a detailed, geeky and humourous football magazine with interesting historical stories sounds like your thing you wont be disappointed
  15. Id much prefer an Englishmen in charge of our team, and i think a same nationality manager should be a rule when any top 30 nation in the world appoints a manager. Other nations may need to be helped through their development so yes, a foreign manager may be needed, but for me the idea is the best of one country against the baest of another, including all staff IMO. If someone takes citizenship then thats fine as they are commiting to that country. As for the next manager the only Englishman I can think of who deserves it is Hodgson. Boring as hell I know but I dont think Redknapp has done to show his ability to get the best out of a set group, he needs to buy his own players. For me he hasnt done enough with a restricted set of players to justify teh job imo though I admit he is probably the better man motivator once he has his players. Hodgson has shown on several occasions with a restricted choice of players that he can get the best out of them
  16. Money cant replace memories Jimmy. I think everyone besides Man City could have told you that you wouldnt get that many games there
  17. It has started in america already so is available on several sites, they dont get it in Korea but there are ways to get everything over here! Oh and far east public holidays are far better, the food is another level!
  18. Didnt realise the second season of boardwalk empire had started, so have 2 episodes to watch today on a korean bank holiday monday after a weekend of drinking.
  19. Cracking shirt!! As a kid I loved this calssic from 94. It was a standard design that loads of teams replicated in different colours but as soon as I see it im taken back to my favourite world cup of 94. It also helped that Ravelli was a cracking keeper.
  20. Post it up man, that's the beauty of poetry, it doesn't matter how many times you hear it it's still capable of moving. Like music. Here it is then. My favourite poem of all time If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you; If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too; If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies, Or, being hated, don't give way to hating, And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise; If you can dream - and not make dreams your master; If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim; If you can meet with triumph and disaster And treat those two imposters just the same; If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you gave your life to broken, And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools; If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings And never breath a word about your loss; If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on"; If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch; If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you; If all men count with you, but none too much; If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds' worth of distance run - Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, And - which is more - you'll be a Man my son!
  21. I wont post it as im sure youve all heard it a thousand times or at least the final lines, but currently im analysing 'IF' by Rudyard Kipling with my 12 year old korean kids. They love it and no matter how many times I hear it, it always moves me.

    Watches

Like a few others in thsi thread I dont spend much on clothes but I love watches. I usually buy one every other month on pay day, but only spend about $60 a gi (i mean pounds but the keyboard im using doesnt have that symbol). Every now and then ill wait a few months and buy something a bit nicer, and I usually ask for watches on my birthday or christmas. I find i feel alot smart when im wearing a nice watch (and the saem goes for decent shoes). I have no fashion sense what so ever so usually wear fairly plain jeans and a plain shirt or t shirt ona night out, but I find that putting a decent watch on makes me feel a lot smarter and appear like ive made some effort
  24. I thought Salgado had a very good season last year, theres also a silly stat saying he made more interceptions than any other defender or something similar? I suppose no CL means shalke need to sell but he scored a great goal at the weekend and seems to be in their first team plans so I thought they fight to keep him
