Any of our esteemed followers of the youth teams care to share their thoughts on Dominic Revan/Mungo Bridge being our 4th choice CB’s this season? With Engels name being touted as available, and with no links to a CB being targeted. I presume that’s the plan and fair play if so.

We are an injury or two away from having issues. We cannot perform major surgery every summer it Imo we need to upgrade LB,CB,CM,LW & ST. A loan here or there makes sense surely ?

I wonder if the no loans rule will Be softened as it’s stupid to limit ourselves to permanent transfers considering the surgery required... Its an arrogant and misguided way to do business IMO... Also how about Baba Rahman for LB cover ? He’ll be cheap or available for loan ...

God we are a spoilt miserable bunch at times aren’t we ... jeez I get all opinions as as valid as the other but the negativity surrounding our summer, the initial delays in signing players and perceived lack of intent afterwards, we’ve spent a ton of £££ Upgraded our 1st XI with time to spar for more incomings. Chill and be positive and have faith.

The first part I completely agree with. Joachim Andersen is reportedly available loan to buy for €3mill then €17mill. Kristofer Ajer is my first choice and also put one of @Villan4Life favs joe Rodon from Swansea. Secondly you surely mean left winger as just signed Traore? Striker or B2B Mid over replacing Nakamba & challenge/replace McGinn.

Don’t know how much truth there is in the Sarr rumours but I could see a scenario of him turning down plop for us. If he continues his development by playing regularly with us big clubs will want him in a season or two. if he goes to Liverpool and plays sporadically, halting his development then it could be be down hill in terms of clubs looking at him calibre wise if he is not careful. Still only 22 and a season of two of regular football is what he needs at this stage IMO... not biased or delusional at all !

I wonder if our bid is acceptable but Werder are hanging on in, desperate for another offer & poss bidding war. I find it strange we would be still be haggling over the fee after all these weeks.

Wanted him last summer as well as this as he has all the attributes to become a legend. He will not - literally be the next VVD, but he definitely has the class and the ability no question for the Prem and as you said, a prefect partner for Mings. Young but a lot more mature and assured beyond his years, at 22 yo and 137 Celtic games & 16 caps for Norway (He’s represented Norway 63 times throughout the age groups since u15’s) We should be in with Engels or Taylor plus £££ No brainer, right now before he gets lured but Milan.

Agreed... We could also do with new LB cover. However, v.doubt we will sign another 5 players, one/two positions where ideally we would like to upgrade (LB CM/DM) we will maybe have to make do till next summer, perhaps?. IMO I think it’ll be, Rashica. Dependent on the Engels situation, we’ll need another CB. Edouard ( Being Greedy) or??.. Lower priority budgetary wise realistically for me this window, unless loan (to buy) are LB - Henry, or ?? & CM/DM, Hughes, Grujic, Racic or MYSTERY #8???...

Get him signed up ! Wesley, Edouard, Watkins , Davis, Rashica & Traore are seriously good attacking options.

Sad tale of obvious mental health & alcohol issues. I wish him nothing but the best and good luck and I hope he quickly finds whatever he needs, to get his life back on track. I’ll be keeping an eye on aldershot to see how he does.

I was just wondering if player exchange could be a work around - lowering the amount Celtic needed to pass onto PSG... Fulham did a dodgy deal a few years ago with Le Marchand & Serri so the selling club didn’t need to pass on as much % by overpaying for former and less for the latter.

The benteke fascination is just plain wrong and absurd. Samatta 1 goal in 14 is maligned by some yet Bentkes pitiful return since leaving us how many years ago is acceptable to some. Weird. I have visions of Edouard repeating Benteke success is he was to join.

I don’t get the fascination with signing Axel or Tammy other than misguided nostalgia. Both massively overrated on here and also by their clubs in terms of value. Better options available at a cheaper cost. We would no doubt end up turning on Tammy anyhow.

Does anyone know the intricacies of profit % clauses. Would Celtic liable for for the financial value of swop players so say we signed Edouard in a deal worth £40million which was made up with £25mill cash and the rest players. Would they pay % on the cash only or the deal overall... hope this makes sense ?!

@Kiwivillan what’s so bad about Danny Rose? Is it because he has been open about his mental health struggles ? Or honest the fact he said he doesn’t enjoy football ? Intrigued why he has been labelled as he has been but with no justification?
