A couple of names I’ve heard we have scouted are Jann Fiete-ARP from Bayern II. Ismaila Soro From Celtic & Sven Botmam from Lille ... No doubt ones of hundreds we are looking at perhaps and could all be BS ... just passing on

That’s sort of where I’m at ... I’d guess both will be similar in costs. Both have gone off the boil somewhat these past 2 seasons or so, both are massively talented. I know Alli is accused of being lazy in the Amazon documentary but poch is a known hard taskmaster and he thrived under him so not so sure to that would be a reason not to go for Alli if the option arose.

I was told in the summer by someone within the game that we were either offered or made enquiries for Uros Racic at Valencia. Looks a fine player for sure and what we neEd to support and compete with McGinn and Luiz ... I used to work for OUFC so still hear occasional snippets though nothing since then.

When he signed he was the main man record signing, but also new to the league, country and somewhat untested. I’m now very intrigued to see how he comes back and competes with Watkins for the main role, he is now settled into the squad with less pressure on him. The added competition will hopefully help elevate his game to the next level as he has the potential to be a good player... IF he can find consistency when fully fit and up to speed. He will also push Watkins on hopefully and the two could compliment each other’s game well.

Winks IMO opinion would be a great signing who would add much needed depth in quality & a further option to add & mix things up in midfield. His ball retention is class and can pick a pass. Luiz is class but until start of season 21/22 when the clause expires. Barkley with no option yet to buy. A loan to buy in January would make a lot of sense for me.... A somewhat lazy opinion based on Lange’s links I can see us going for the CB Nelsson at Copenhagen again and poss the young RW Daramy as well but loan him back. Very interested to see Mckenzie’s and Lange’s targets & direction!

After my earlier comment regarding a cheeky swop with Isco if Madrid came calling... I’ve just read he’s linked to the Everton for £18mill ... How his star has fallen and may, actually, be realistic - hypothetically speaking...

Have a suspicion some may be pleasantly surprised when he returns. With 18 months in the uk now under his belt, a settled and more balanced squad. Add Watkins into the mix to take the pressure off him I believe he will come back and thrive.

I think over the next two windows we need to upgrade the following positions and squad places, in no particular order and with some random names. CM/DM - We were reportedly interested in Uros Racic from Valencia in the summer and I’d like us to go back in for him as completion for Luiz as Nakamba isn’t near the same class. ST - Josh Sargent is a striker I really like the look of from Bremen and would compliment Watkins & Wesley. Edouard at Celtic is another obvious name but not so sure now. LW - Let’s forget Rashica my LW dream signing would be the lad from RB Salzburg Dominik Szoboszlai, but he is unrealistic at this stage - next summer perhaps? Antonio Marin is another one to keep tabs on. CM/AM - Christoph Baumgartner is a talent we should be keeping an eye on especially if Barkley is a no go permanently next summer. Michael Olise from Reading is also one we are hopefully monitoring. LB - Lloyd Kelly from Bournemouth fits the mould. I also wonder if Robert Skov could be a LB version of Cash at RB? Owen Wijndal is another fantastic young LB from AZ Alkmaar. CB - I wonder if our reported interest in CB Victor Nelsson from FC Copenhagen was for real or simple clickbait lazy link journalism? A really like the look of Kristoffer Ajer at Celtic & Djule Caleta-Car from Marseille.

We should have gone to 3 at the back at HT with Engels on for Trez and I would have also gone Traore for Barkley who said he has been carrying a knee niggle, with Grealish roaming behind. Poor I’m game tactics today sadly, but as I said in the match thread, it was alway gunna happen. Gutting as it is, it was against Leeds, the important thing now is the reaction in the next game.
