    and also Birmingham City players!
  2. no idea how ramos is still on the pitch
  3. the usual display of diving, rolling around and general all round theatrics from both of these teams
  4. poor defender and a terrible 'captain'
  5. I think he is one of the few players we have who are actually good enough for the premier league. Can't fault his effort either. His main issue is that he is selfish, but i guess if you had the choice of trying to do it yourself or passing to bacuna or gestede, you would go with the first option

if gestede could actually move, he scores there.

Ayews going to get sent off if he doesnt calm down Could do with the captain or most experienced player to have a word with him, but Richards and Lescott won't as they don't give a shit

we look no different than under garde, some neat passing, a few speculative attempts, but ultimately its just a matter of time before we concede. ...and as i type chelsea decide they do actually want to score, stroll through our team and a player gets their first league goal against us
  13. some interesting comments from Brian in the Mirror. Doesn't sound like he was too impressed with Fox and Almstadt...
  14. 28 league goals in the last 6 seasons (161 games played). Hes just been utterly woeful since MON left.
  15. If that is meant to be in reference to my previous post then i haven't made any comment on MON. FWIW, i thought MON was an prick for doing that. NRC always seemed like a decent, hardworking pro, even if he was a pretty shit footballer.
  16. i don't think anyone has ever said sherwood had full power - just that he was part of a committee and had final say. But you already knew that... Anyway if having Pearson as manager meant we got Steve Walsh and his scouting team, then that is something i could grudgingly accept. The guy can spot a player. And players and backroom staff seem to be lasting longer than managers these days.
  17. I don't think managers like guardiola, ancelloti etc are shrinking violets, i expect they demand the top performance out of players, they quite clearly have presence and i am not going to disagree with you that that is something we need. But i don't think they are necessarily abrasive and that was what i was disagreeing with - your post read to me that basically all we need is a manager to get stuck in to the players, give them a kick up the backside etc, which i think is far too simplistic. As regards Pearson as violent, hes held down and choked an opposition player on the touchline during the game, told a fan to **** off and die, and repeatedly been abusive to reporters in press conferences. You are right i have a personal dislike, but i think its pretty well founded.
  18. i agree a managers job can be tough, but i think you are living in the past with the idea that all we need is a good old fashioned 'abrasive' manager to come in and kick the players up the backside. These days teams have big squads full of good players, diets and fitness are all improved, teams are well drilled tactically. You need more than someone on the sidelines shouting 'get stuck in', and bollocking players to try and eek out an extra 10%. A manager cant be a pushover, but he doesn't need to be a violent bully. Is it just a coincidence that the top teams don't hire the typical British 'pashun' managers, that hardly any clubs abroad seem to want what we produce?
  19. but they didnt start every week pretty much all of the experienced 'trouble makers' have been benched at some point.
  20. excellent last 2 overs by jordan and stokes
  21. its been poor bowling from ali and rashid - just keep tossing it up to get slogged for 6.
  22. if you give him all the credit for keeping leicester up, is it not also his fault they were in such a precarious position in the first place? As for Leicester's recruitment - down to Steve Walsh not Pearson.
