The stupid, out of touch old men that have made it close to impossible to enjoy the sport they're meant to promote, if you can't make it to the game. Someone in China or India can watch every single game for pence per month, but here in England you can pay out the arse for a subscription to a small number of games that might show the team you want to see once or twice, if you're lucky. What a bunch of arseholes.

I'm not going to shed any tears over her being kept out, but I think he's right to object to British citizens being stripped of their citizenships and kept out of the country at the whim of the home secretary. Is this not something that ought to require judicial oversight? We typically require someone to be found guilty of a crime before such punishments, whereas this seems like a knee jerk reaction based on tabloid outrage. Sometimes the right thing isn't the popular thing.

I agree with most of what you say. I'm interested to see what they're about. I certainly wouldn't go so far as to say I'd vote for them if there was an election today though!

It seems like the behaviour of a paranoid madman to contact a company that provides flights, to grill them on the likelihood of crashing in to the sea. I think it's fair to assume that the company you're paying for the flights should be expected to perform the necessary due diligence in regards to crashing in to the sea.

Wasn't this a conversation about the media? Do you think the Beeb are going to stow her under a lorry and go through the channel? Or do you think the government is going to let them in but keep in quiet, in which case, what has that got to do with anything when you were going on about the media? And surely the government doing this would just make people like you angrier when it inevitably leaks. And why would they do this anyway when they're refusing to provide her any assistance in returning to the country?

Are we talking about the guy who's scored 5 goals in the last 2 seasons? Injuries have played there part, and he's frequently out on the wings, but he's 29 and has had 2 decent seasons in front of goal. We'd be completely in the shit without Abraham. He's an exceptional young talent who'll go on to compete at a much higher level. "Jimmy Danger" is a lower league journeyman.

For me the question isn't Smith vs this squad of has-beens and never-will-bes.. Most of them are gone in the summer, we know that. The question is whether Smith has shown enough to be trusted to rebuild the squad. He was clearly brought in with the long term project in mind, but if we keep going like this, I think it's far from guaranteed.
