A 20 minute head start is being very, very generous. We did sod all for 75 minutes.

Yup, very poor by his standards. Worked hard, as always, but he didn't really contribute much at all for most of the game.

It was, the stumble backwards was hilarious. It should never have come down to the referee's call. Having said that, I hope we make an official complaint about the refereeing. That call and the constant shirt tugging Sheffield got away with in the box was absurd.

the first 70 minutes were a disgrace. 70 minutes until we had a shot on target. Comedy defending. But, their second shouldn't stand, we should have had at least 2 penalties. the ref deserves to be chinned. Delighted for Green to get on the scoresheet, and though I've laid in to Smith for 90 minutes, I hope this could be a turning point. UTV. When did Villa last play to the final seconds?

If we played like we did in Smiths first 4-5 games and lost, I'd see some light at the end of the tunnel. But we just play shit, and don't win games.

It doesn't take a knee jerk reaction to see we've been shit for close to 4 months. We can't expect better than 1 win in 5?

Our squad might not be the best, but they should be better than one win in five, with that 1 being a nervy win against the worst team in the league. Smith is wearing no clothes.

It's all going to be fine. Our best players are on loan and Grealish, who'll almost certainly leave, and the parachute payments are gone...but it'll all be fine. Hopefully Forest and Leeds will stay down so we can go to other teams that have won things and reminisce about being big clubs.

I was so excited...But I'm pretty much out of patience. We're worse every week, and I'm not convinced he has any ideas to turn it around. You can talk about the squad and ageing players, but Billy Sharp has just put 3 past us.

When Billy Sharp scores 3, there's no excuse.Billy Sharp is a 33 year old who's spent his career in the lower leagues. There's no excuse to get battered by Sheffield with this squad.
