    We’re all talking about the players that will come in but I like the fact we’re where we are with Ramsey, Diaby and Zaniolo yet to hit the heights we know they are capable of. Add that to Buendia possibly coming back sooner than later, perhaps it’s just a couple of cherries on the top that we need to really crack on.

    For me the DM position is a difficult one as there’s not that many decent options out there. We should go for Vermeeren as he’s only 18 and could be our DM for years if we could convince him to join. Has a low release clause apparently

    Why does the badge need to be simple, most of the other badges in the league are quite busy designs (Newcastle, Man City, etc) and they manage. Wolves has the most simple badge but their not smashing it commercially are they. Success on the pitch drives commercial growth and brand awareness. If we have elements from the badge that we can use for separate media channels, the lion, 1874, AV even, surely we’d be able to get a bit more of Aston Villa into the badge design itself. At present the basic design echos West Ham’s in its simplicity and that badge is shit IMHO.

    For me I’d stick with the round badge but make it a more modern take. Claret circle with a blue inner circle and claret lion. On the subject of our lion I think ours is a bit pants so had a play around here. I’d be happy with something akin to this heraldic design.

    Can we not have a new round badge as all of the current ones are a bit garbage. I'd quite like Aston Villa in white on a claret background as it would really make the name stand out, similar to Arsenals and Chelsea's on the above badges image.

    We should petition the club for kits that don’t have the badge on so the fans can put their own better designs on instead.

    Looks like a soup label, it’s a hard no from me. If these designs are anything to go by we should all quit our jobs and become designers as the majority of us could pull together something superior to that 5 mins job that better represents Aston Villa Football Club.

    I’m intrigued to see which way the club go with both the RB and LM position. For the RB will we go for an attacking one in the mould of Moreno or will we go with a more defensive all rounder. For the LM will we go for a right footed winger/inside forward that allows us to play a 433 or 4141 or will we go with a No10 that can come inside and score/assist - Simons/Wirtz being good examples. Ideally I’d like two options for both personally. An inside forward that can play out wide and also cover Watkins if needed, plus an attacking midfielder that can help us with the low block and be Ramseys competition. For the RB position I’d go with the all rounder for now and revisit the attacking RB in the summer (Frimpong perhaps), with us looking to offload Cash at the same time. Of course the above scenario is me being greedy though.

    A versatile right footed winger/forward is what we need to give us some options on the left (ideally with some pace) and can adequately cover for Watkins too. Diaby can cover for Ollie but probably shouldn’t. At a push Zaniolo would be worth a try as he a bit of a beast.

    I think we need some new blood to shake the squad up a bit, hopefully give every one a bit of impetus to perform better, or risk being out of the team. Might help us push on a bit as I agree our performances of late haven't been great. They do always say though, that's a sign of a good team, able to grind out results without playing spectacularly. Truth be told though we're all moaning about not getting the result at Old Trafford, what with us being 2:0 up. Just run that sentence back though, we were 2:0 up at old trafford! In my life time that place was a death trap for Villa, we never got a result there. We are a great side now and will have off days but as ole lego hair at Arsenal says...trust the process. UTV

    There are decent players out there that can and would come to little ole Villa. Vermeeren is being talked up no end and he has a low release clause, surely we must be looking at a player like this, even if there are others doing the same. We've got to be in it to win it so to speak. Personally I want 4 players that can boss our midfield, we have 2 already but I'd like 2 more. Vermeeren would be a good understudy to Kamara and could be supported, if needed by a more utility player, such as a Geertruida for example. I'd really like a Luiz Mk2 though, someone who can push him and slot in perfectly for when he needs a rest or has a suspension or drop in form. A van den Boomen, Veerman, Merino type of player. Those and a RB would be my foundation, a left sided right footed attacker would be next on my list.

    It’s a no to Gallagher for me, England tax and all that jazz plus he’s not that great. Could see him at Palace/West Ham or similar. I also don’t want us giving Chelsea any help at all. Across Jan/Summer windows I’d opt for the below as I think they’d give us some flexibility to change things up tactically and also offer decent (quality) cover too. They’re all really technical players too so I think they’d fit nicely into the Emery system . Amine Gouiri - LM/LW/IF (Watkins cover) Joey Veerman - CM (Luiz cover/comp) Arthur Vermeeren - DM (Kamara cover/comp). 13m RC Lutsharel Geertruida - RB (can also cover at DM and CB) Get shot of Traore, Dendonker, Hause, Chambers, Coutinho and loan out Duran and Iroegbunam. If we were in for Frimpong or any other more attacking RB options (Arnau Martinez perhaps) in the summer I’d look at moving Cash on as he’d be a decent saleable asset.

    I know a lot of people are torn on the shield/round badge shape but for me that’s a secondary concern. For me the focus should have always been on the lion itself. For too long we’ve had a wimpy looking lion on our badge and that’s where the creative force needs to be spent. We a period of our history we had what looked like a bear on our crest! A modern take on a rampant lion, similar to the old Peugeot logo or go back to a more traditional heraldic design is what is need IMHO. The current lion is a bit pants.

    Needs to go on loan and a more reliable replacement brought in IMHO. He’s a bit of a card magnet when he comes on, needs to curb that a bit. I get having aggression (Benteke) but it needs to be channeled in the right way.

    Eze’s a Landen boy so wouldn’t move North. We were rumoured to have been interested when he went to Palace and the reason he went there was to stay in London. Wirtz or Simons is the type of player we need but they’re unattainable as Wirtz especially is a 80m+ player. I've always liked Cherki but doubts about his work rate and mentality. I would have said Guler before he went to Real Others with potential include Glouhk, Moleiro, Ketelare, Doue,
