  5. Haha that’s very good
  6. Think of Alan Partridge at the table where he’s frantically trying to think of tv shows by mashing different things together. Imagine trying to think of footballers who could be involved with such ridiculous tv shows. the Punnier the better, the crazier the better. 7. I think whilst that’s is our best XI, gone are the days of players regularly bailing 45 games a season. if we are to compete on all fronts properly we need 2x players in every position. City being the ultimate example where their second XI side is arguably a top4 side in their own right (I think easily tbh). I think in midfield we will have that sewn up. And also up top. defence is lacking for a strong rotation
  8. Come on Norwich, put Newcastle bottom of the league and get the win
  9. 100% I said on here and at work if Coutinho scores a winner I want him sliding in front of their fans like Adebayor. 3 game ban and a hero. when’s the last time we did the league double over United?
  10. We’ve currently lost 4 out of the last 5 games…. That’s not a great return currently. I’d say confidence won’t be staying high for much longer. United and Everton away. Then a February we need to obliterate if we don’t get something from those two games
  11. Confidence comes from winning not playing well and losing. Maybe individually you can but as a team collective losing valiantly 1-0 or 2-1 is pants
  12. I’d love someone to view some set piece goals in the prem this season, I bet 90% would be disallowed following yesterdays decision

    Matty Cash

Yeah one bad game. He’s been excellent for the most part since he’s joined us.
  14. Coutinho 93 minute winner and does an Adebayor and runs down and slides in front of the United fans. 2 game ban and instant hero
  15. This, we’ve had some good games but ultimately come second. And that’s an issue. We need to be winning games. cue them winning with dodgy decisions at villa park Saturday. Hopefully Shaw gets smashed to bits
  16. That goal wasn’t Konsa fault so whose was it?
  17. We were the better side. Mings doesn’t bother to challenge for the Ariel ball which led to their goal. United are basically a northern version of spurs without Kane
  18. We’ve completely dominated the second half and United barely been at it. They’ve got away with it today. Shaw shouldn’t be on the pitch with 6 fouls inside 60 minutes
  19. Just seen the rumour we are looking to sign a loan keeper? with Steer as backup is there not a youth keeper who is worth being the third keeper? really don’t want us spending cash on a third choice keeper who won’t play,
  20. True, Traore was that for his position and he is now but for his first few months our existing players arguably kept him out by being much better. Aided by his first injury which kept him out for a bit and then they either got injured or went crap themselves. Targett was actually brilliant for the first six months of last season, and even after Jack was injured I thought he coped very well with having no outlet in front of him
  21. At the very least it will bring competition for places, we saw whilst temporary, Traore coming in lifted El Ghazi and also Trez for a few games and they actually kept Traore out the side for a bit early on. if Digne comes in and Targett ups his game then it’s still all good with me. The one thing competition brings in a squad is elevated performances or you know who to sell pretty quickly
  22. This is excellent meme. We need a thread for “Top villa memes” then do an Oscars style award to the original creator s categories such as most repeatedly used villa meme in 2021 outstanding meme contributor Best hybrid villa memes (multiple villa memes combined into one) meme of the year
  23. We aren’t paying all his wages from what I’ve read, so far this morning. Says the majority so could be £201k in reality we don’t know but I personally doubt it is £400k
