  1. Just renewed, last day for the 9 months interest free and villa cashback if anybody doesn't realise (I believe).
  2. Duvan Zapata would be a good replacement if we could get him.
  3. Good deal for everybody involved. If he does go though, I wonder if we'd be able to put some sort of clause in the deal where we could buy him back for a set fee if we were to be relegated?
  4. 83.1% pass completion, Westwood has 83.7 for the season who people say rarely loses the ball It's not necessarily the amount of times he loses the ball, with Sanchez it's the positions he loses it that are the biggest problem.
  5. Is that our premiership status being flushed down the toilet ? Class joke
  6. Can't blame him really, he lives in Cheshire which is a lovely part of the country and Everton geographically makes so much more sense, he's settled with his girlfriend there. Also they're a better team, he knows Martinez (who knows how to get the best out of him), and they'll probably offer more money lets be honest. The big problem for us now is that a replacement is going to cost atleast £8m, which gives us less money to spend on other areas!!!
  7. Wow you're really ahead of the game with this mate......
  8. Sell him ASAP. This is going to drag on though which is the last thing we need.
  9. Charlie Wijeratna who is our chief commercial director and is in charge of this sort of stuff has also come from Spurs so makes sense.
  10. Is that link broken for anyone else, or is the internet mocking me now to? strange, here you go again http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/aston-villa/11644787/Aston-Villa-target-Kieran-Trippier-to-begin-Tim-Sherwoods-rebuilding-programme.html Going in for Trippier.
  11. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/aston-villa/11644787/Aston-Villa-target-Kieran-Trippier-to-begin-Tim-Sherwoods-rebuilding-programme.html Fingers crossed.
  12. I know the guy who did it, i don't think it's a joke
  13. Aside from the fact that it's a bit shit what he's actually saying. How shit is he as an agent?!?!??! He must have known it could be absolutely anybody?! Does this mean I can find Ronaldo's agents number and ring him pretending to be Mourinho?! HANG ON JUST DONE IT HE'S FOR SALE!! He said he'll give me 'very good price for you if you buy today'
  14. But that wouldn't make sense would it, because we've been playing not with ONE number 10 but TWO! It couldn't possibly be more perfect for him as a formation really. I think he was alluding to Sinclair as a winger, sadly.
  15. http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Hull-City-transfer-talk-Aston-Villa-James-Chester/story-26606085-detail/story.html meh
  16. i personally think he is, he's got a good physique for the league too. I'd like to bet who ever signs him this season will rate him more than £8m at the begging of next season. Whos have we got better than him? Don't say Sinclair because he's not.
  17. If we spent a combined £25m on that set of players I'd cry Why? Tripper and Robertson would be very good signings and automatic proven premier league players who are only going to get better? Trippier £3.5 (release clause), Robertson £7m? He's going to be a top player. Callum Wilson would be about £9 you'd imagine but if you've watched him play, again only going to get better and is exactly the sort of second striker we need. Phillips is also a good player, and would probably cost about £8m. So probably slightly over £25m actually. They'd all be first teamers.
  18. Trippier, Robertson, Callum Wilson, Matt Phillips would all be really good signings and wouldn't (you'd think) cost more than £25m for the four of them. I'd be looking at something similar to that if i were Tim. It sounds a tad ridiculous too because he's hardly played for a year but i'd sign George Thorne too.
  19. It's nowhere near like that. Eriksen is a proven International and played a tonne of games at Ajax, he was also fantastic, scoring goals, for Spurs. Gil is a player we'd seen a couple of times, who was sold on by his previous club for a very small fee and his only season in a top league was being part of attack at Elche that was worse than Villa's this season. You have misunderstood me. I said if he has taken over just after they'd signed Eriksen, so scoring goals and playing well for Spurs would have been irrelevant. In terms of the fees we're spending at the moment and the caliber of players we sign (also the fact he'd been man of the match in most of the games he'd players for us. Relative to Spurs I feel it's a fair comparison.
  20. http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/christian-benteke-former-aston-villa-9367943 Just shut up Paul.
  21. I wonder if Europa league will actually make any difference to him? It's such a second rate competition.
