I think the fact that the club posted on the official site that we are in 'extensive' talks for a takeover and literally nobody believes a word of it, tells us everything. If we can see through the bullshit from afar then educated gentlemen like these aren't going to take long to realise that they've been brought in for nothing other than good PR for the club. Glad it has backfired on Lerner. Randy is a disgrace and if he doesn't sell (not convinced that's even on the agenda now), we're going to be a midtable championship club for the foreseeable (at the very best).

The 2nd bit of ITK i've ever had is that he had a medical with us at the beginning of the month. First Wednesday of the month whatever date that was, he had one that morning. Really. Give a 34 year old a medical 3/4 weeks before signing him? What sort of clown college club do you think we are??? Actually, nevermind. I have no idea whether an actual deal is on the table or what the situation with it is, but it happened.

It doesn't work like that though does it. We will have budgeted a transfer kitty when the season finished. There is no way that pot would have been completely empty, regardless of whether they expected outgoings it would not have been a case of you can spend what you sell. It's Sherwoods first chance to build a squad remember, and from the very beginning he's been adamant there will be a lot of changes. And in regards to a £150M business not spending £65m (It would only be £20m net). If he's struggling to sell for £150m now, how will he expect to get it by reducing the value of the squad. I think people sometimes think that transfer funds come straight out of Randys wallet, they don't.

I think on a loan it's a good deal if we pay say, 60% of his wage. Signing him would be a different story.
