Talking of DS I should have some more info on it on Thursday. Dont get your hopes up as it has gone quiet on that front. Tbf not sure how much of an impact he would have in our current state anyway.

It just makes matters worse and fans feel worse if he doesnt attend the press conference. So when the reporters ask about tactics, transfers, players whats Ron Vlaar going to say? He is one of them after all? Doesnt make sense - where is Culverhouse or Karsa?

Whatever the reason it is completley the wrong time not to take the press conference. It just adds fuel to the fire.

Well considering he has been training with Charlton all this time since that rumour was started, he must have a doppleganger.

Thing is we are in a lose lose situation. Our players arent good enough, the board are clueless and the manager hasnt performed as well as expected. You get rid and you end up with a new manager facing the same problems or you keep Lambert and risk being relegated and languising in the Championship for the next few years. Not sure that is part of the long term plan. Our only hope is that Lambert remembers how to manage well again. I know he is a good manager, we have all seen it. But like the players he needs to up his game because it hasnt been good enough so far. A sign of a good manager is to get the most out of his players, hes not doing that.

Whether we have it or not we need some bloody signings or else we might as well give up now.

Like most fans I have soft spot for Gabby. But dear god I hope he is sold in the summer so that we can reinvest his wage on some better players. His wage is ridicolous when you consider his ability. No doubting he tries hard but he isnt up to it. He hasnt been the same since MON left.

If we dont sign anyone, its fine, we go again.

Well it is his fault partly. Yes we have a shit squad but he still has about 6 players that he has bought in. Then you have players like N'Zogbia, Ireland, Bent, Gabby, Holman. Granted they have been poor for a while but part me questions how good Lambert really has been. The sign of a really good manager is getting the most out of players. Pretty much throughout this season he has got no more than their actual level and for the majority a whole deal below their actual level. Also his tactics have been astonishing at times. If he is being tied financially then the guy should walk, seriously why put yourself through this. I still think hes a good manager but he has been lacking a hell of a lot this season. Just like the players he shouldnt get an easy ride. However, saying that, he should really only be judged when he has had time to get a squad that he has built himself. Unfortunately it looks like that will be in the Championship.

Proof will be in the pudding for me. We would be stupid not to sign any players - permanent or loan. I am sure PL knows that. His reputation will be shattered if we get relegated. If he had no money the guy would walk. He is an ambitious person, ambitious enough not to be hung out to dry by RL.

I'd much rather believe Mazrim than Hairyhands or Villacas...Mainly because I want us to have some **** money and the alternative picture is depressing.

Lambert said that he would go with what hes got if he had to. Which is an obvious thing for a manager to say. Kendrick, Nursey and Pat Murphy have always said that there is money to spend. Albeit not a large amount. I'm pretty sure Mazrim has been spot on with info before and is the opposite of attention seeking as he rarely posts 'ITK' information on here.

I can't wait for all the ITKs on twitter to start the Charizard rumour.

Not that we know whether we were actually in for him but would've been quite an exciting signing. However like I said at the time it did smell of his agent trying to get his client a move to a bigger club or a new contract.

Actually I remember that MM refused to post Bents name on here and only on a PM. Only once the story came out did we start discussing it on here. Although a few people guessed who it was on here.

Yeah I remember the Bent transfer well. The Meltdown! MM knew a few days before and PM'ed a few people on the Friday. I tried to put a bet on but no one would take it then on the Monday the story broke on SSN.

As an example - My info on Dale Stephens. It came from the Charlton side that Villa were in negotiations and he was close to a move. Then it all went quiet. Thats the facts we know anything else is conjecture. Maybe Villa have DS lined up as a back up, maybe its agent fees, maybe its their chairman changing the fee, or RL deciding against spending the money. My point is there are so many factors to signing a player no one can be completely ITK. This means that 1) No one should get berated if a transfer doesnt happen 2) Any tidibit of information should always be treated with caution

The club are so good at keeping things quiet. Hopefully it means things are going on behind the scenes and not that there is nothing to tell. Thats why any ITK tidbits we do get should be treated with care. It may be true but I dont think anyone apart from RL, PF and PL know exactly what the plan is and the latest with transfers.

Got back late last night. Absolutely loved it again. Tried to see as much as possible. Last time I went I did all the tourist bits so wasnt too fussed about it this time. I just wanted to explore as much of the different areas as I could. Highlights were - Stand Up NY (A comedy show), Shopping in Soho, Shake Shack in Madison Square Park, 2 Bros Pizza $1 slice, Brunch at the Loeb Boathouse in Central Park, Central Park, Walking over Brooklyn Bridge at sunset, Greenwich Village, Meg Ryan stealing our cab, The High Line, Pancakes at IHOP Also went to Williamsburg which was pretty nice and had a good brunch there. Not sure what the fuss is though. One question being Muslim obvs I know what Halal food is. However, I swear in NY they think Halal food is just arab food like Shwarmas and Gyros/Kebabs. I was tempted to have something from the Halal Cart Guys but I wasnt sure if it was actually Halal and if I could eat it so I decided against it. If you like ice cream/shakes then try out a Concrete Jungle from Shake Shack - amazing! A couple of cool bars - Fat Cat and Garage - good if you like your Jazz.
