  1. Do people know how the full backs at City play? In possession they move into midfield and the 8s join the attacking line. They are the only team who play like that. So if you think of the roles a LB at City plays it's more like how we want our 8s to play.
  2. Would you settle for a player like Chukwuemeka or Luiz signing a new contract? Or does it have to be a new signing?
  3. Bogarde for example doesn't count as home grown so loaning him out counts towards our limit
  4. Well he'll likely play 4 games and then have a break as Poland go out in the 2nd round.
  5. Yeah I'd be inclined to Loan him end of the window as he'll get a couple of EFL cup games in I think and a full pre season with a Premier League squad, trying to defend against Coutinho and Watkins will be a very very steep learning curve for him and two different challenges. IF we need to recall him in Jan due to an injury to Cash then at least he'll have had half a season of the Championship under his belt.
  6. Especially as we have KKH who is at most 12 months off being ready for Premier League
  7. Say what you want about Chambers abilities attacking from RB. He's still played the same number of Premier League games at right back as Cash has. So in terms of RB cover for one season he is clearly capable cover for a player who never seems to be injured.
  8. Chambers has played 6 games at RB and 61 games at CB. He can act as cover, also Young will hopefully sign the new contract. Plus KKH is there too, if we needed to recall him in Jan if Cash was out longer term we could. So the idea that a back up RB is a priority is nonsense. We have Cash / KKH as our two longer term RBs. We've Digne and no understudy for LB. Plus we've seen Cash is very durable like Watkins, Digne has had a few injuries in his half season with us.
  9. So someone quoting Fabrizio. Assume it was on a facebook live / podcast he said that. He does a few of those.
  10. Chambers played most of his games for Arsenal at RB. We have KKH. We've offered a new contract to Ashley Young. We've not sold Guilbert. We've lots of cover for RB. The club don't want to block the pathway for KKH. He needs one Championship Loan and he'll be ready. Young / Chambers are enough cover for Cash
  11. Where he say that? not on his twitter feed
  12. We changed our tune on it due to need to develop players. We now have a large crop of talented youngsters and a large Premier League squad. It's now more in our favour to have 5 subs than it was 18 months ago
  13. I'd keep him around at Villa and potentially loan him in January if needed. If we are offered £10m+ for him we should consider it but anything below 10m we should keep him here. To date he's a far more proven Premier League player than Bailey is. No player in our squad last season bettered his 13 goal contributions in 20/21 season. He's a talented player and with 5 subs rule he will be useful.
  14. IT's always been because of the unspoken threat of the Super League that the other 14 and UEFA have always conceded ground to the big clubs on stuff like this. Now they played the ESL card and failed miserably now it's time for the others to take more control off them. You see clubs like Villa and Newcastle with strong owners now taking on more responsibility and leadership
  15. Yeah I've seen that they're looking to scrap it as it's very outdated anyway. Extra revenue for PL and more revenue for lower leagues is right way to end it.
  16. That can be overcome I'm sure though. It's out of date and the money the lower league clubs would get from Premier League in such a deal would mean they would all be on board
  17. MLS 10 year deal with Apple is showing the way Premier League will go. Streaming all games globally on their own platform. This is the great equaliser, it will mean something in the region of half a billion pounds in revenue for each team per season. With such a giant leap forward in revenues the league can reset prize money distribution, it'll remove the bonus payments that come for your side being televised more. Salary controls can then be put in place etc..
  18. Because we played our best football last season when we moved to two up top. So it'll definitely be played next season along with the 4 3 2 1 formation
  19. I agree the new 8 is key as we need someone who will be putting real pressure on Ramsiand McGinn. I think Luiz is off as we'll sell him rather than let him run his contract down. Sanson will likely be loaned out to get game time and increase his value having not had a good time over last 18 months. At a push Buendia and Coutinho can play 8 if we have injury problems. Sanson can get recalled then if needed. But we'll need Chukwuemeka to sign a new deal so we've four 8s in the squad.
  20. It feels like this window the Big 6 are blowing everyone out of the water and we'll see a proper gap form next season between them and the rest.
  21. I think this is what will end up happening. I think they're right to look into it due to driver safety but they are going to use data to set limits on how much vertical oscillation is allowed. So basically you would expect teams who have it most under control will be ok and teams who don't will be forced to reduce the oscillation which will probably mean raising ride height at a cost of performance. At least this way the FIA are making sure the cars are safe in a way teams wouldn't themselves.
  22. It's only binary, every player has to be either shit or brilliant. Judgement will be passed in the end one way or the other.
  23. Yeah, has an offer from us he's considering. I'd say he'll probably sign it and stay
