  1. Which means absolutely nothing. And neither does anyones opinion on here, only Randy's. It is a thread for next Villa manager, so I think the odds are quite relevant!
  2. Big Sam is currently the 5/2 favourite with Sky Bet
  3. In an ideal world I would take Owen Coyle. But I can only see him leaving Bolton for one of the top 5. I would be more than happy with Paul Lambert, but realistically I would take Sam Allardyce until the summer at least.
  4. Surely Randy MUST act now before it's too late. We have a 2 week break until we play Everton - the perfect oppurtunity to arrange a new manager until the summer. I fear without it, we WILL go down. We are not too big to go down!
  5. Can't agree more. There's no way we would go down with big sam in charge.
  6. Stay, I don't see the point of keeping him until the end of the season then sacking him, may aswell sack now (which I don't agree with anyway)!
  7. Stay.....for now. Whatever anyone says the quality of football is miles better than we've seen in years...I would give him this summer to sort the defence out (ie bring some new players in) and judge him at the end of next season. The current defence is pretty much the same one we had under MON and we weren't exactly solid at the back under him, so give Houllier a chance to change it.
  8. Houllier must be really thick, it's like he's trying to wind the Villa fans up. He waits until the fans are on his side, then pisses everyone off by throwing the towel in, in the FA cup. What else have we got to play for, I don't for one minute think we will go down now.
  9. Can't really argue with January - a complete turnaround in results, attitude and optimism.....and playing staff. Well done Gerard
  10. Think it's probably more to do with Carroll
  11. Why don't the mods set up a poll with all the dierent options?? And the highest can be recommended to the general
  12. Hi General, Welcome back...have you thought about getting your own twitter account for Villa fans to follow??
  13. Just his general coaching (managerial) record I think..
  14. This is just gonna make it worse when we lose now!! (Hope I'm wrong)
  15. The last month has been a disaster results wise, but I would still like to give him time and see who he can bring in this month, so a YES from me.
  16. Sell for me - it makes no sense to let him leave for free. We won't get top 4 with him currently, and we won't get top 4 without him, so we may aswell cash in and re-invest the money.
  17. I was fully behind him until I heard his comments after last nights game, but now I think its time he went - it's clear he diesn't have any affection for the club.
  18. Hi General, I think after last night it is quite clear then Houllier has absolutely no feeling towards Aston Villa whatsoever. To say he isn't too upset to lose to Liverpool because he likes them is an absolute disgrace. The results are bad enough, but with this added and the woeful defending we are witnessing at present, I think it's time Randy got rid now before Houllier wastes even more of Randys money in January - go get Martin Jol or Owen Coyle now and give them the money to spend. Let's not forget than Liverpool were missing Torres, Gerrard and Carragher yesterday, and absolutely wiped the floor with us. I wouldn't bother coming on this thread again until after Xmas if I were you, if we lose at home to West Brom at the weekend...
  19. No fight, no heart, players not playing for Houllier it seems
  20. It's not been great so far, but the injuries are enough for me to give Houllier the benefit of any doubt.
  21. Good player with a bad attitude - I guess it's the good player part that really counts though - so, Yes please
  22. Same old, same old. We look as far away as ever from top 6, let alone top 4. Not Houllier's fault - too many injuries, but we're leaking goals for fun at the moment. Not looking forward to Wednesday - roll on January!
  23. Pretty poor again, but we are in transition - we won't finish in european places and we won't be relegated...Houllier must be given time to change things and get some players back from injury before he is judged.
  24. Very poor away from home again - hard to judge Houllier though with so many players out..
