  1. I was thinking about MON earlier, we would be perfect for him.....top 10 looking to push on with cash to spend - he was stupid walking away really, won't get a better job imo. Too much bad blood between parties now though, time for a fresh start with someone else.
  2. Just sellyoakvilla putting MH on twitter, thats about it I think - oh, and he's favourite with most bookies.
  3. I'd be more than happy with Rafa...but wouldn't be disappointed with Moyes/Hughes either
  4. Just the odds for next permanent Villa manager...as Houllier is current manager, he can't be next manager too
  5. Still 6/1 on Sky Bet, only come in slightly from 7/1. Hughes is current evens favourite, followed by Benitez 11/8, then Moyes.
  6. Someone on Vital Villa called "Prepared" has said that compo has been agreed between us and Everton for Moyes....I have to idea if he is reliable because I don't go on Vital that much
  7. A decision and annoouncement by Wednesday according to Mat Kendrick.
  8. Well looks like we have no choice then, if he will instantly improve us, he's our man :? ???????????????????????? Why are you confused??? Do you not think Moyes would be an instant improvement?
  9. I want more than 6th, but I'm realistic enough to know thats its not gonna happen. It was hard enough when it was just 'the big 4', now there is Man City and Spurs to finish above too...I think the reason Moyes didn't come to us before Houllier is that he didn't want to leave Everton in the crap (unlike our previous boss!!), and I do admire that.
  10. Just another angle of possibly getting Moyes - not only would we be instantly improved (imo), we also instantly weaken one of out challengers for the european positions.
  11. pretty much how I see it.. Hughes/Moyes on a par for me...realistically 6th is the best we can do with our current finances. I think either Moyes or Hughes could achieve that.
  12. The Spanish guy is called Rodrigo Munoz if anyone wants to find the tweet
  13. A Spanish journalist tweeted this, this afternoon; Quique Sanchez Flores entrenará al Aston Villa, según fuentes familiares que acabo de consultar. Su deseo es Inglaterra, ya ha decidido. Which translates to; Quique Sanchez Flores will train at Aston Villa, according to relatives who just consult. His desire is to England, has already decided. A name I haven't heard mentioned...seems very random if its made up.
  14. Based on absolutely nothing, I've still got a feeling it might be Moyes...hand him a £50m transfer kitty and I'm sure he would be tempted
  15. Good. They can keep him warm for us for a couple of years
  16. We SHOULD finish above them though, it's no massive achievement that we did. Still think Coyle is a top manager (got Burnley up with virtually no money). Bolton have hardly spent any money in the past 2 years. To keep them safe is achievement enough.
  17. So, how much crap are they gonna be in financially now??
  18. I would be 100% happy with Houllier having another season IF he was 100% physically up to it - but the fact that he can't even come to watch the game from the stands tomorrow in what is effectively a nothing game, suggests he isn't up to it. Moyes appears to have ruled himself out, so I would be happy with either McClaren, Hughes, Benitez or Lambert.
  19. I think Hughes has proved that he doesnt need a load of money - Santa Cruz for £3.5m and Samba for £500k suggests he can spot a bargain
  20. Would love to see Laursen in the dugout in the future. Would be hugely popular with the fans and someone that loves the club.
  21. He didn't almost get Wolfsburg relegated though. He was sacked 4/5 months ago, they only escaped relegation on the last day of the season, so it's not like there was a massive improvement after he'd gone...and if he had the full season, they may have been top half (will never know)
