  1. Lads chill out. There isn't anyone coming in before Saturday. Don't build your hopes up, it's the hope that kills you
  2. Am I right in thinking, as we are only allowed to register two loan players at once. that as we have signed Drinkwater and Reina, we are unable to sign any strikers on loan? If that's right what the fook are we playing at?? Drinkwater was an absolutely nothing signing. Reina I understand but now we are seeing a few clubs open to striker loans and we are totally out of the frame. Just do not understand it
  3. On the Haaland deal, the reports are they paid a £22 million fee, plus £15 mill for raiola, £10 million to Haalands dad'sAND insisted on a £55 million release clause. Raiola as much of a disgusting character he is is a genius. He kept him away from clubs that he could remain at for his whole career, and engineered a deal that sees him get paid again in a year or two. I wish clubs would just band together and absolutely refuse to deal with him. Choke him out the game
  4. There is no way Gerrard leaves rangers for us. When he took that job people thought he was mad as celtic were so far ahead with much bigger budget. In a short period of time he appears to have swung it completely back to rangers. Convinced they will win the league this year. His stock will rise massively. No way he leaves now and joins us at huge risk of getting relegated..would be a hugely unnecessary risk to his new career
  5. There was an interesting article about four weeks ago where they had a team meeting and he opened up the floor and apparently loads of the squad hammered tactics and thought we were far too open and easy to play against. I thought at the time it sounded worrying but we then beat Newcastle. But for me it sounds like he may have lost the dressing room. The players don't look like they are playing for him Either way for me, and I feel like a prick saying this, but he has to go. Pull the trigger now and do everything to get Rafa in asap. If we keep him any longer we will be going down. Thanks for last season Deano, genuinely gutted how it's turned out
  6. You can see his speed when he finds his dashboard before switching cameras to his face.
  7. He winds me up posting videos to Instagram of him driving whilst filming himself and talking into camera whilst doing 50/60mph. Idiot will end up killing someone
  8. Said it before, I'll say it again. We don't even need an out and out goal getter. We need a proper target man who can hold up ball and bring others into play, while being a threat from high balls into box. This isn't just rose tinted specs, but the best value for money who has all of those attributes but has gone goal shy is Benteke. Genuinely think he could be available for around £10 million. Even if he doesn't score he holds up and links play well and is always a threat in the air In our current predicament and budget and with palace well out of the relegation scrap we won't find a better option in January
  9. Forgetting the Wesley debate. Which btw I agree he has to be dropped. However today was the first time I was genuinely disappointed in Smith's tactics, team selection and game management. 1. guilbert had to start, he is a better defender and his pace would have helped massively against the vardy threat. 2. Hourihane has to play our home games (I thought we had finally settled on that) playing luiz and nakamba today set us up to try and get a point in a shut out. But our strength is attacking, we were imho very unlikely to keep it goalless with Leicester so should have had more attacking option on pitch in CH. 3. The Ming's injury was pure amateur hour. He had pulled his hamstring. You get him off immediately and hope we get to play him in some of the Xmas fixtures if lucky. You don't send him back on to try it out FFS. He was immobile, unable to run and get into position. It cost us the goal and most likely has made the injury worse. It is moments like this the manager has to intervene and get him off there and then. I was sat a row from where Ming's went down and even Ming's was shaking his head and telling the medics he needed to come off. Putting him back on the pitch was absolute idiocy
  10. I've defended him up to now, but sorry this lad isn't a top level footballer. He has zero attributes needed to be a centre forward. Can't head, can't shoot,. Can't dribble. Can't run with ball. Dreadful footballer. Hopefully Davis is back next week so we can have a break from having to watch him. How kodija cannot get minutes at the moment is laughable
  11. That's cos usually being red dotted is enough to make 99% of people think twice. Sadly the people who usually get tasered are either ones with mental health issues acting out violently or those in some sort of drug fueled rage. Who cannot see reason
  12. Again completely incorrect. Believe it or not taser is approved as a lesser use of force than both baton and Pava spray hard to believe, but that is what is trained. In 99% of cases once taser is deployed and suspect cuffed they have no further symptoms or pain. Obviously no one can know underlying medical issues that may complicate it. Which is why personally I believe it should be treated higher. However tasers are regularly used to gain compliance by single crewed officers who are up against bigger stronger individuals. They are drawn, red dotted and warned and if they still try to attack then they are tasered. No idea what happened in this case, just stating the usual use and proper procedure
  13. The only thing I'm pretty sure of, is that you know absolutely nothing in terms of facts. As nothing has been released. An unarmed man covered in blood raging he had murdered his family. A taser is said to be a less impactive option than both baton and Pava spray. Thats a fact as it's deemed to be less long lasting effects. That is the training police recieve. The only supposed facts came from sky news. Like paula Quinn, the idiot woman who claimed to have witnessed the cops kicking him repeatedly from her window. A window that was later proven to have no view of the area where the incident occured. So as I say, let's wait and see shall we
  14. Really? Have you not being paying attention to the US, in particular the officer from Ferguson which started it all. Who was proven to have been violently attacked by someone who grabbed his gun, in the end vindicated entirely, yet despite this led to riots death threats and him having to resign for the safety of his colleagues and him and his family having to flee their home permanently, all for just doing his job? Now he is pretty much unemployable. Remember the media in this country and what they do to suspects who haven't even been charged or had a trial, they have a long track record. We are in completely unchartered territory, a police officer has been charged with murder after the use of a taser. It has potential to be an absolute game changing moment in British policing at a time when officer attacks and knife crime are going through the roof How about we trust the system and wait for the facts before demanding names we have no reason to know and potentially causing race riots like in the US.
  15. The one thing I can't shake about big Wes, despite sticking up for him so far. Is that on the break in situations were we have 3 on 3 and flying forward. Unless he is put clean through one on one he looks absolutely incapable of running with the ball at his feet, so unable to buy himself half a yard to shoot. Never shifts the ball and hits it. It's sooo slow and cumbersome with ball at feet near edge of area. I genuinely don't think I've ever seen anyone else as obviously poor in that position. It's quite striking. It leads to lots of our fast breaks petering out and he usually just passes it back or square
  16. His "miss" from targets cross by the way was perfectly placed in the corner, was a heroic block by defender that deflected it towards keeper. Watch it again from behind CH shoulder
  17. People writing this lad off , it astounds me. Now I'm not saying he will make it, but his forty odd appearances have pretty much all been 10 or 5 minutes here or there. His one run in the side was when we were desperately struggling playing negative football under Bruce and his introduction really turned out season around. His lack of goals is alarming but when he did play seven games in a row he did start scoring getting two goals in his 6 game run Strikers are confidence players. Don't write him off until he has had at least a run in the side in a good side capable of creating chances for him
  18. You can see this lad is such a confidence player. First few touches went straight through him, but as soon as he shrugged his marker off at half way line turned and ran he looked a different player. I'd love to see him get a good run in this team. He literally has only had one run of games in a turgid Bruce ball team. He has so much strength and ability but it's not going to develop playing five minutes here and there. Would love to see what he is or isn't capable of
  19. Personally I think he is a better premier league player than championship. His technical ability has more chance to shine. He doesn't need time on the ball, which he has less of in the prem. But he is too weak physically and was bullied or roughed up too easily in championship. He was dangerous today, should have had two goals. First var was ridiculous and second he slotted one right in corner but defender got beautiful block to deflect it at GK. Just so dangerous both from set pieces but also a real goal threat
  20. Well I thought he played very well up until.it all fell apart. Seems to be alot criticising him but personally thought he fought hard and gave SJM and Jack a platform to build off. Once we sat back so deep everyone fell apart
  21. Was absolutely rotten that second half. No confidence ra down dead ends and panicked giving the ball away on countless occasions. Deeply worrying
  22. Glad to see MOTD absolutely crucified the ref and VAR. While I don't see the spastic blow his whistle. I'll accept that as an explanation. However as everyone has seen Cahill absolutely nails him in the box for a blatantly clear penalty. Which absolutely should have been overturned for VAR. I cannot understand how it hasn't been, all four camera angles show a massive clash of knees and Cahill recoiling because of the massive clash. How any idiot with that many cameras and time to look at the replays knowing what a **** up it is, DOESNT take any retrospective action is beyond me.

  24. Amazingly it has now been confirmed that VAR DID check the incident and decided no action needed to be taken. Unbelievable
  25. Listen I completely agree we were robbed by an awful awful ref. I echo everything said before me about the ludicrous lack of VAR. But... I'm concerned. Our midfield has little to no creativity. Wesley may as well have been playing at another stadium today such was the appalling lack of service. Trezuguet is a worker but lacks any real quality at all. This is going to be a long hard few months before much needed reinforcements in january.if we are outside the bottom three come January 1st I'd snap your hand off
