  1. It is one game. There is quite some way to go yet even though yesterday was much needed and a realy boost. Long may it continue.
  2. Flick? Isn't that the limping Gestapo dude in 'Allo, 'Allo? Not sure I'd want him tbf.
  3. Honestly, a mole out of a molehill. I don't think the quote is him 'chose his words carefully' in order to not rule himself out. It's just him being media trained and saying what most people say.

    Victoria 3

Yeah, agreed. And my hype kind of died as I ventured into looking at the economy in some more detail. I am not sure this even close to Viccy 2 in terms of simulating it. And I also fear capitalism is a bit gimped compared to socialistic ideals which isn't much fun in terms of variety of gameplay. I have gone from day 1 purchase to 'hold on for reviews and gameplay vids' now. GamePass would have been perfect.

  6. Danks should have absolutely no impact on the timeline for appointing a new man. Even if he wins every game in the interim, he is not our man.
  7. Thing is, people's minds are mostly focused on deceiving them into thinking they aren't making decisions based on their emotions, when in fact they are doing just that.
  8. Why would he need to be out of a job?
  9. I actually agree. I mean he played well and deserve more starts, but wasn't that much of a stand out IMO.
  10. Where is TT BTW? He still around? Was years ago I read something from him.
  11. I sort of agree, but I personally think that he has now committed himself to a very short timeline. If we actually have signed someone, I would imagine that would be announced within a day or two at most. If nothing has been said before Wednesday I'd say that he's full of shit or have bad sources. If the announce Amorim in that window same applies as he has been adamant we will not sign him.
  12. I think the lads at some Villa podcast mentioned that it was almost as if our players had been instructed to not press under Gerrard. But in general I think it was a lot of psychology behind this win, for many reasons. So far it is a rare one off.
  13. I also seriously doubt it, but that is just my git instinct.
  14. Yup, he did. A proper hug as well, not just one of those quick 'touch chests and go' weird ones.
  15. I don't think there is any story about Amorim? New one I mean. The link seemed to be a rehash of old stuff with a new release clause.
  16. No sane person would change his mind because of one game.
  17. I think he says something important in that interview in that they feel responsible for the gaffer having to go. They really wanted to show us they can do better, and now that Gerrard is gone, they can play more freely without his future hanging in the balance, in addition to playing in a different setup.
  18. I have no reactions left so I just vanity quote you to lend my support to that utterly spot on post.
  19. STOP OBSESSING OVER WINGERS!! You guys are just having SG PTSD. Let it go! It's red herring. Dismiss him if you want, but not because of wingers.
  20. That is not how professional boards act.
  21. Guys, this is nothing really weird at all. People make out like this is some weird Gerrard quirk and that it's our only issue. It goes much deeper than that and I'd go as far to say that there might be several reasons for not appointing him, but this is hardly it lol It's like you guys have a wingback trauma memory thanks to Steven.
  22. I actually noticed as well. Last time I saw him he looked kinda fit. Now he seems to have grown some nice love handles.
