Yeah, I was thinking something similar. We sort of peaked with MON, then the modern Premier League outpaced us completely. No matter what we do, we'll never rise to the heights of the 80s or even thereabouts again. We are one of those perpetual supporting cast clubs showing up as faceless opposing teams to the gib boys in All or Nothing-like docu-dramas. We should just embrace our fate and go with it. Not even Pep or Klopp would be able to get us into the running. The game's gone. 'We're shit and we know it!'

My position really. Things look bad now, and I feel awful, but we can't predict the future and we know nothing of who is truly available to take over. Not like they can come out and say that Potter or Poch said no who we're stuck with Gerrard. But yeah, we look like relegation candidates and that worries me.

Yeah, something smells here, and it isn't just SG. What has the club done in terms of staff, recruitment procedures and facilitating a proper club philosophy? I'm worried. If we go down again, I'm not entirely convinced we'd be back in a hurry.
