  1. Isn't that what people who're a bit on the small side say to themself to make themself feel a bit better? Just messing with ya! We could make a very interesting thread on this subject. Although it would probably be full of compltete rubbish Yeah, I'm sure everyone would be in the 6"+ range. And a few taking the piss that put about 3".

  3. Hmm. Well, us allowing them to talk to Spags means nothing more than that. He was given permission last year and turned down the Redskins job. Hopefully he'll decide to stay, even if for one more year. Hopefully we have one of our positional coaches learning under him, like Spags did under Johnson in Philly, so we at least have somebody who's going to play a similar style of defense.
  4. Toomer will be back, can't see us not re-signing him with our lack of any oustanding receiver on the team. Brandon Spikes of Florida is somebody I've heard Giants fans talking about as a 1st round pick. I've only seen him a few times since I don't see much college football, but he's a real beast, one of those guys that seems to do things so effortlessly in college. Yeah, Ware looked decent enough. Looks like Ward will be gone, so Jacobs/Bradshaw/Ware will be fine, I'm sure.
  5. I meant the Vikings for the Championship game, so hopefully they do over the Panthers.. can't see it though. Gilbride is okay, but he doesn't know how to finish of a game. When we're leading by a score, with about 5 minutes to go, he just seems happy to go with 3 simple running plays reuslting in a 3 and out. I'd like to bring in an OC with a better mentality than that, though he has helped Eli since becoming the OC in fairness to him. Keeping Spags is more of a priority, I still thik we should put a gaurentee in his contract that he's our next HC.. Our schedule is pretty difficult. vs NFC East: 4-2 vs NFC South: 3-1 vs AFC West: 3-1 vs North/West winners: 2-0 I've got us at 12-4 next season.. though this really does depend on FA and the draft.
  6. The Eagles were shit @ Washington last weekend, so I'm not THAT scared of them. Yeah they beat us, but I think we lost a bit of focus towards the end, especially when we started to rest iinjured players! I agree with the Vikings/Cards. We already beat the Cards, comfortabley, without playing very well. And our backups nearly beat the Vikings, who were playing all out in a must-win game, so they don't worry me too much!
  7. Ah shit, I KNEW there was something I missed last night.
  8. I'm honestly not sure if you're taking the piss or not..
  9. Great read John. 1st game you had some help from Clichy and as for the 2nd, you were almost beat by the weakest side we've put out this season. (Think about it ..... and was Agbonlahor looking for a penalty). First game we beat you 2-0, Clichy scored 1 OG. You do the math. This was also the weakest side we've put out this season, 3 starting defenders missing, our most senior striker missing, injuries are no excuse. Gallas took him out and din't get the ball, whether he was looking for it or not was irrelevant, it was a foul. The only time you're mentioned in the same sentence as 'Top 4' is when Arsenal rivals have some banter. Nobody but Villa fans believe you'll be there. No, we are mentioned in the same setence as 'Top 4' because we ARE 4th. If you were better than us, why can't you beat us? Nah. the half way point is on 28th December. Lets see where you are after Hull. As for the merit bit - to some extent, but mainly by the poor merit of Arsenal, Chelsea and United. We started the season without Fabregas and soon lost Walcott. Chelsea started without Drogba and other key players, and likewise with United and Ronaldo - but go on ignoring these facts and believe like Liverpool you're better than you really are. The halfway point is the 28th December? What are you, a moron? There are 38 games played in the Premier League, half of 38 is 19. We've both played 19 games, so we are at the half way point NOW. I love Arsenal and their excuses, so where has our top scorer from last season, John Carew, been for the last few months? Injured, what about Freddie Bouma? Injured. You aren't the only team with injuries, christ! As for the Liverpool bit, they've had Torres barely playing any football and are still well clear of you, because they are way better than you, even without their biggest goal threat. ..... Perhaps it's because you played against the weakest side we put out in the Premiership this season. Lost to newcastle – we beat them You couldn’t beat man utd – we could Lost to Chelsea – we beat them The boxing day game had similarities with your game against stoke – the difference being we still gained a point. Nonetheless, dodgy penalties suck, don’t you agree. As for the first game, you had assistence from Clichy and you didn’t find our net until the 80th minute. We also put a weakest side out so far this season, you fool. You lost 3-0 to Man City - we beat them 4-2. You coudn't beat Spurs - we could. You didn't beat Sundlerland - we did. I must be missing one.. oh yeah, we beat you! This game was really not alot like the Stoke-Villa game, neither team dominated that one, whereas we dominated you. Yawn, yawn, yawn. Is it our fault all of your defenders are clowns? No. You've been dropping points because you let all your top players go and keep shit, that's why. Imagine if Bouma, Laursen, Cuellar and Carew had been playing? We had key injuries, all of which are first teamers. Walcot and Rosicky first teamers? Get out. Barry to Arsenal? Well, he's staying until the end of the season, and he only wants to leave for a team in the Champions League next season, so I fail to see why on earth he'd go to Arsenal? Er.. no, we didn't lose to Portsmouth, if you're going to try and argue a case, get your facts right, you're just making yourself look silly. Any idea? I dunno, maybe that's the order the fixtures were printed? Just throwing an idea out there, y'know.. We're dreaming? Come on mate. We're 3 points above you, we've beat you, we haven't lost to you, your arrogance is not well served, and you'll look a right arse when it goes tits up.
  10. Forrest Griffin, Rampage Jackson and Frank Mir. That'd do me.
  11. This is one of the weirdest threads I have ever read. This is the last time I am ever creating a thread!
  12. Oh look, we have a comedian! I went to the same highschool as Matt Murray and Daniel Sturridge. Of the 3 of us, I'm the best footballer, by a distance.

    Baseball

It's probably more simple since there's no salary cap!

Baseball has no cap, so it's more like football in that sense. I'm not from the US so I can't say for sure, but my opinion would be that it's #2 to the NFL, ahead of basketball.

Jesus christ, hadn't took much notice of free agency, but the Yankees sure did make some good pick-ups!
  16. This is not where I thought this thread would end up when I started it..
  17. I second that You filthy sluts :-) Treating men like a peice of meat, shocking. As if men would ever be so disrespecful.
  18. That's surprising, not one person dislikes him.. my dad must be crazy. Then again, he doesn't mind Wenger.
  19. Saw a bit of an interview with him on Sky Sports today, mainly talking about how he loves football over here, how he came very close to the England job but loves the day-to-day involvement and that he definitly wants to manage over here again.. just had me thinking, what's your opinion on him? I know a few who hate him and a few who love him, just was interested to know what the general thought of him was. Me personally? Love the bloke. Not only is his managerial record incredible everywhere he's been, but I find him very funny and love the way he interacts with other managers and the press. There are few managers around who seem to have an effect on players the way he does, he seems to have a very good bond with the players he manages. Definitly my favourite manager ever to have never managed Villa or England! What do you think of him?
  20. Has to be NRC in my opinion. It seems he is the vice captain this season, and captains the side when Laursen isn't playing, so it would be a bit harsh on him to take that away I reckon.
  21. Sky Sports News Yellow Bar: Michael Owen will delay announcement of his Newcastle future until the end of the season. Guess this means he's out of the question in Jan?
  22. Oh dear. What a completely random way to bump a 4 year old thread! Under the 'Sweden' option why does it say "Come on Tommy/Olly".. Sorensen isn't Swedish!
  23. If Derrick Ward gets at least 51 yards against the Vikings next week, the Giants will have 2 - YES TWO! - 1,000 yard running backs for the season! I believe the only other time this has happened was the perfect Dolphins season with Czonka/Morris
