He said Zidanne was closest to his style of play. Was always intrigued who the better player was him or Puskas. Puskas died a few years ago, now the great Di Stefano. RIP

They will have one heck of a squad next season which they will need if they can challenge on several fronts. Personally I think Suarez is irriplaceable. It's like Argentina losing Messi. Not saying he;s as good but he was as important to Liverpool.

My German mate reckons it's more depressing supporting them, constantly getting beat in semi finals and finals. There must be more dissapointment when you go far in a tournament and loose. I felt it in 1990... Now I have zero expectation with England so fee no sadness

Yep most women has a faster 2nd serve than him. He has a faster first serve than Djokovic so i can't see what the problem is.

Murray lost 1640 pts in this event alone and drops to about 3000 pts... Just to show the difference. Djokovich is now on over 13000 pts and Nadal about 12,700. federer and Wawrinka are on just over 6000 pts...So the gap between the top 2 and the rest is massive.....and Djokovic can gain even more points on Nadal now because Nadal had a 100% record up until after the US Open....Murray has every opportunity to gain a lot of points from now until the end of the season. I think he will be back in the top 4 by the tour finals..

Yes he didn't play after the US Open until The Australian open so he lost a load of points there and his atp tour event results have been poor.. Obviously the points dfference from quarters to winning is massive.

It was and he won the US OPEN at a young age... Bad wrist injury though! Wawrinka has been dissapointing since the Aussie Open. Raonic is a bit of a one trick pony....Theres a couple of other young players like NishiKori and Dolgopolov who look pretty good

Really you can make a case for all four teams... Brazil and Argentina have the support but Brazil losing their two best players will be a big factor I think. i make Argentina the slight favourites but hope Holland win it because they are overdue one and whilst I don't think this team is as good as some previous ones. The manager has turned them around and got them playing for each other unlike the euros and Robben must be the fittest player alive. Sneider is looking good again. If RVP can produce I think they can do it.

Yes you never know. He strolled to the final. Theres only Dimitrov from the younger players I see as a slam winner next season. will Murray ever get back to where he was and will Nadal sacrifice a French so he can be 100% for Wimbledon...Onto the US Open and Djokovic will be brimming with confidence now..

Yes he's done it........Great return of serving.... He would never have recovered if he had lost a match he should have had sewn up in the 4th set

Did anybody real want Costa Rica in the semi's? We'd just have to endure another 90 minutes or so of defensive football. The world cup is about attacking exciting players. Messi vs Robben is much more interesting...

Thats exactly it... Nice to cheer on the underdog, but an Aregntina v Costa Rica game wouldn't be very exciting
