i was shocked newcastle didnt sell out at villa park - i know we were charging joke prices but that was the first time i remember them not selling out

went when fulham played there a few years back, there was a pub called the springbok i think right next to the ground and we had a drink on the main road nearest to teh ground in a wetherspoons as well

disappointing turnout but i thought we only took the initial allocation a couple of years back as well (when we drew 1-1 when Carew scored)? certainly when i got my tkt for that game we were only taking the initial allocation at that point atmosphere was half-decent but nothing overly special, i think some people are starting to believe our own hype about how great we are vocally- were decent and better than most but rarely a wall of noise for 90 mins

Good point actually - i am best off waiting for the additional ticket to come through so i can see where the seat is if it is Lower Bullens (restricted) then that is sound as i assume its the same entrance as all the other tickets and we can just all stand together any way

a long shot but does anybody want to swap? got 4 tickets - 3 in the lower bullens (cost £32 i think) and picked up another one for only £30 yesterday. I assume this is in another section (The Paddock??) Anybody wish to swap a £30 ticket for a ticket in the Lower Bullens? he is a bit too one-paced for me; slowing the game down is exactly the right thing to do on most occassions, but there are too many times where he needs to act quicker and is too slow to make a pass/move into space

bent was the one putting dangerous crosses in on a couple of occassions - we need him in the box feeding off scraps

played well for 15 mins at the start of the second half, other than that it was fairly poor, and they were in the ascendency for the last ten mins without creating anything think we're going to have to get used to 0-0's this season bent had zero service think nzogbia was alright, contributed some of our most dangerous moments heskey worked hard, won a few headers BUT IS NEVER AN ATTACKING MIDFIELDER delph needs to stop diving in, booked after 5 mins and to be fair did fine for the rest of the game without chancing a red card, but if he keeps diving in as he has done this season it wont be long til he sees a red petrov is too slow at times - dont get me wrong, a lot of the time getting a foot on it and slowing down the play is exactly what we need, but there are a few occassions in each game where we need him to quicken it up and he doesnt appear capable of it herd was very lucky not to give a peno away at the end (haven't seen it on the tele yet), was alright other than that tho gabby played well subs made no impact whatsoever all in all i think its going to be a long season with many games similar to this

can only see it getting called off - every time i try n get the train for the away games it always comes back to bite me on the arse, only £13 down tho

£13 returns on the slow trains to euston think you will have to get a travelcard or summat for the rest of the journey, unless its included

this this **** this i live in Frankley in south brum, a typical council estate which would fall under Longbridge ward, and the area is certainly not SHA in my opinion its 60:40 in favour of the villa, go up the pub when they have villa on the dodgy satellite and theres more villa than for comparable games when blues are on it. I also play in a football team from the estate that has to cancel games when the villa kick off early on a sunday but could still field a side easily when they got to wembley and i agree with the poster who put a few of them used to be brummie reds, the worst sort imo, for the genuine noses who have supported them throughout i was actually mildly pleased for them when they won the cup

agreed, the second half was a background thing really, as bad as it sounds (shows how shocking this season has been really) the noses i know have taken it quite well to be fair
