  1. If we needed the money we'd have sold him by now as MON both wants and needs new players in, easy peasy.
  2. Excellent technique Albrighton. Unlucky.
  3. Course he can. Done so 4 years in a row, why stop now...
  4. Agrred, Adam Johnson's career has completely slid since he joined City. Is that it one example? Whereas we can count out numerous examples - Barry, Adebeyor, Lescott, Toure, SWP even more rubbish than his spell at Chelsea, Robinho who thought he was signing for Chelsea funnily enough at his signing press conference. Says it all about these fancy foreign players and what they really know about your club. Laughable.
  5. If NRC could learn to pass to the closest man once he's won the ball he'd be just as effective as Annan. Tin hat on.
  6. Prince Boateng yes, please. Good game tonight, developing into a great player.
  7. And Cuellar played right back :winkold:
  8. Collins, Dunne, Warnock, Petrov Gabby, Milner Cuellar Friedel, Sidwell, Ash, Carew, Heskey
  9. I'm coming over for this match :!: (As if anyone's interested ).
  10. Would have liked Albrighton, but I'm okay with that team.
  11. --------------------Friedel-------------------- Cuellar-----Collins-----Dunne-----Warnock Milner---Sidwell---Petrov---Delph---Young ------------------Agbonlahor----------------- Can't drop any of the defenders after the SHA game. Inspired by alienvillan, here's my wish list for tomorrow: 1. 3 points 2. Fantastic performance 3. Delph MOTM 4. Delph goal 5. Carew goal
  12. Great result, great day, Collins MOTM, Dunne not far behind.
  13. Bigger and better squad than ever. Strength in depth. Quality on the bench. Good window.
  14. sidwell should be tht person, he isnt for what ever reason so if we dont get any decent midfielders from now until the window closes ( mistake if that happens) then when we are in a commanding position we should start introducing delph into matches. hopefuly we will get someone like VDV, not many times there are top quality players available at decent prices where money and champions league ar not the top priority. This. ------------NRC--------Petrov------------- Milner-----VDV/Sidwell/Delph-----Young For me. EDIT: Or even.... ------------NRC--------Petrov------------- Milner---------Downing-----------Young
  15. Thoroughly enjoyed that. Even though we didn't create too many clear cut chances we were in complete control of the game from start to finish, and I can't remember the last time that happened. Solid performance allround from everyone. And already 4 points up on last season's results. Delighted that MON decided to go for youth in Clark instead of shifting Beye to CB and put Nigel or Warnock on right back. And what a debut by Clark! Delighted that NRC was put in the middle of the park again and to see another good performance from him. Delighted to see Gabby playing with enthusiasm again and scoring an excellent goal. Ratings: Friedel - 6 - A poor choice when passing to Beye under pressure, other than that not much to do. Beye - 7 - Another good game by my favourite French-Senegalese. Cuellar - 8 MOTM - Very solid. Good clearances both aerially and when breaking in front of players. Nice to see him 'talking' Clark through his debut and complimenting his young partner on his good involvements. Excellent partner for Clark today. Clark - 8 - Not often you see a 19 year-old centre back being so calm and professional in most choices on his debut. Gets an extra point for that. Shorey - 7 - Obviously feeling Warnock breathing down his neck. Good game. Milner - 7 - Works tirelessly, good on the ball, good off the ball. EDIT: 7, not 8. Petrov - 7 - Reads the game so well and intercepts lots of passes, calm on the ball. Reo-Coker - 8 - Full of energy, good passing, even a couple of great ones. Need him in the middle there, MON :!: Sidwell - 7 - Did his job, energetic. Thrives in a 3-man midfield. Young - 7 - Looks to have found his feet again in terms of crosses/corners/free kicks this season after a season of overhitting them. Agbonlahor - 8 - Strong and fast. Looks the part again. Worked hard all game like he used to when he first broke through the scene. And his 'bigger belly' this season obviously comes from working out in the gym throughout the summer. Showed why it was the correct decision by MON to start him. Great goal. Carew - 7 - A beast. Never an offside and should have been allowed to make it 3. What a great way to finish a weekend.
  16. Not sure. Didn't look to painful against Vienna when it happened, shoulder just popped out apparently. Just a matter of popping it back in, and he's good to go I guess
  17. Trying to think of a team, and even though we're quite short in defence due to injuries/lack of signings, it's still pretty difficult to predict the back 4. Assuming Davies is out, will MON go for a youngster (Clark or Lowry), or will he play an experienced one out of position? Will Warnock get his debut? Me, I think we'll go for experience, put NRC on the right back (Warnock could have played there, but I think he'll start on the bench), keep Shorey on the left because of his good performances vs Liverpool and Rapid, and go like this: -------------------Friedel--------------- Reo Coker---Beye---Cuellar---Shorey Milner-----Petrov-----Sidwell-----Young -------------Carew-----Gabby----------- Bench: Guzan, Lowry, Gardner, Warnock, Delph, Albrighton, Heskey Think it'll be a tight one, but hoping we'll get one more than them, so I'm gonna predict 1-0 or 2-1.
  18. We played 4-5-1 in the first half vs Rapid Wien last week. How many chances did we create? How many goals did we score? And that was away! This is at home. Rapid will sit back and defend. Gabby can't use his pace against a defence defending from 30 yards in. Our midfielders won't find any room behind their midfield let alone defence. Two big men up front is just what we need. (I hope  )
  19. I like that team, although I'd have liked to see NRC in there. Possibly not in a 4-4-2 mind. C'mon young Fabian!!
  20. Btw is it true Liverpool haven't been beaten at home in 31 games? Well, they have now :!:
  21. Well, whad'ya know! Just two games into the season and we're already two points up on last season in corresponding matches! 8) Everyone's a hero today, but a special mention has to go to Nicky Shorey and Curtis Davies who've received a lot of stick on here, from myself included! NRC, Friedel and Sidwell also excellent. And Habib Beye!! Told you he was quality!
