  1. HT. Keep it up lads, I'm enjoying this. (Yes, I know it's only a friendly).
  2. We're taking over the game!! Lets hope the Real Madrid reserves are watching :winkold: Should probably not say things like that, will defo come back to haunt me.
  3. Good effort by Albrighton. Nice trickery, excellent delivery.
  4. Reo-Coker is having another fine game today. Nothing special, but calm and assured on the ball and good precision with his passing.
  5. Fantastic tackle by Ashley. Oooh, Juve should have scored there.
  6. :notworthy: Ah crap, anyone can look good on Youtube. :bonk:
  7. My ratings: Absolutely bloody amazing - Guzan (Keep it up little Brad, and you'll soon find yourself in our goal on a regular basis) Excellent - Cuellar (starting to look the player I thought we were buying and can't say how much that pleases me) Very good - Albrighton, Clark Good enough - NRC, Heskey, Sidwell, Shorey OK, I guess, due to his young age and little experience - Lichaj Downright disappointing - Carew, Young, Davies (wasn't on for long though) So, Cuellar and Distin then, with Davies, A.N.Other and Clark as backup? I'd be pleased with that.
  8. And Albrighton of course, but I'm taking that for granted as he's already a legend! Joking of course, but can't hide the fact I'm impressed.
  9. I like what I see today. We're vibrant! Guzan and Cuellar looking good. Lichaj not good enough for this level though, yet at least, but hardly a problem as he's probably way down the pecking order.
  10. Sidwell!!!!!!!!!! That'll do his confidence a world of good.
  11. And we all now what the Turks can do when it's nearing the end, as seen several times in last year's EC...
  12. Cheers. I thought maybe he had some juicy inside info about Johnson being in the stands ready to sign for the mighty Villa, but I realise I might be clutching at straws. :winkold: Just found it a bit odd talking about Michael Johnson in a Villa match.
  13. Here 3 good finishes and an excellent cross by Albrighton for the 3rd. Oh, and can anyone with an A in Spanish (sled?) please explain to me what the commentator is on about, talking about Michael Johnson and Manchester City?
  14. Only watched the second half on a poor quality stream, so all I have to say is I'm pleased with the result and Albrighton and good old Nige looked our best players.
  15. Now we're just splitting hairs, but he scored one and assisted one against Stoke, I fail to see how it's his fault we lost that one?
  16. Definitely miss him. He'd have had a field day vs the Baggies with all those crosses coming in from corners and free kicks, just like he scored and had two off the post the last time we met them. And then we probably wouldn't have had to bite our fingers off towards the end there. You can't provide a proper stat based on such a poor foundation. Looks like you're in minority here.
  17. 2008 overall: 1. Laursen, 2. Petrov, 3. A.Young (Petrov was good towards the end of last season as well, but didn't get the credit he deserved) This season: 1. Petrov, 2. Laursen, 3. L.Young (Ashley hasn't quite done it for me so far this season which is why he's only third overall and not in my top 3 for the season, although he WAS my player of the season for 2007/2008.)
  18. And I will need to change my signature. 7 out of 9 isn't too bad (hope the last 2 arrive in January), but I guess kurtsimon is the winner of this summer's prediction practice. A big congrats to kurtsimon. :birthday:
  19. 8, and on a general note I'd like to point out that I'm pleased to see so many people happy with the window this summer, because it could mean we might be able to concentrate on the season, the matches, MON's tactics, idiot refereeing and so on and so forth, instead of getting a whole new year of "we haven't got a right back or a right winger" or "we had the chance, but blew it again" which generally only leads to negativity, petty bickering and personal abuse. I genuinely think that the general tone of the place will be a lot better this season, and I'm happy for that. Lets all unite in our unanimous hatred towards clubs like Liverpool and Man.City :winkold:
  20. Not very controversial if you read the thread mate :winkold:
