  1. I think SV and a few other drivers, including LH, already have so much money that they don't concern themselves with their PR and are just focussed on winning or the frustrations of not winning.
  2. Blimey! Bad work or subsequent infections?
  3. Where are you guys putting your mouth?! I think I've had less than half a dozen minor (gone in a day or two) ulcers during the best part of half a century!
  4. That much torque steer under little acceleration would make the rest of race under race conditions intolerable. I think it is highly unlikely that the second collision was anything but deliberate. It was also very stupid as Vettel would have comfortably won the race given Mercedes' issue with Hamilton's head rest.

No, but it would be funny if the 'intelligent alien life' happened to have pointy goatees, wear hoodies and speak in a dodgy accent.
  6. As the track is not a pothole ridden muddy lane and his steering wasn't broken, I don't think his car would have unexpected steered in any direction. I'm not familiar with any previous indiscretions that were similar so I don't know whether Vettel's punishments for this instance are typical or not. I think the 10 second stop-go penalty (in reality about 25 seconds delay) was chosen by the stewards at that race, having viewed the videos and car data and FIA have no retrospective ability, hence their post race award of 3 penalty points.
  7. Or possibly the opposite. Cows require a lot of work to feed, especially in the colder months so I suspect millions would potentially starve. The cow population would depend on how much land they could access, whether bulls were introduced by humans to cow herds and whether humans intervened in any other way - famine or disease control, for example. If cows were left to totally fend for themselves, I think lots of them would die and their overall numbers would reduce.
  8. I think you'd find there would soon be a lot less cows in them there fields.
  9. I understand your sentiment but, as I understand it, the penalty has been given, (10 second stop-go and 3 penalty points) so he won't be banned for this instance.
  10. You know it's not going to be easy but unless you succeed you won't be giving your life a chance.
  11. If you are being serious, you won't be watching the rest of the season.
  12. Unless you stop taking the drugs you are taking, nothing will change. Your relationship will continue to be average/poor interspersed with big rows and breakups. A rinse and repeat cycle that will damage your relationship until it is beyond repair, all the time increasing the damage you are doing to your children (even though you deny the extent to which they are/will be affected). Stopping the drug abuse all together won't guarantee your relationship will last but it will at least give it a chance and it will definitely improve your ability to be a better father, with or without your partner. I wish you all the best bud, but it really is about time you permanently stopped your personal abuse to break the cycle for good.
  13. What differentiates the things you don't know about but choose to believe, against the things you don't know about but choose not to believe or remain unsure about?
  14. You seem to believe some things you don't know and be unsure about other things you don't know.
  15. Without any evidence whatsoever, yes. The valid reason for my mistaken belief manifests itself in chemical reactions causing electrical impulses within my brain and can be caused by numerous factors including those that I have previously listed in this thread.
  16. Why would their image to you revert back to being in their prime? Whose version of their physical prime would they take; your opinion of their prime, or their own opinion of their prime? Would they be allowed some licence to alter their image, perhaps so they had lost a bit of weight or had whiter teeth and a healthy tan?
  17. Seriously, if I was thought that I was riding on the back of a purple dragon, had seen a ghost or think I'd witnessed something 'paranormal', I'd prefer to trust that my mind was mistaken.
  18. I'm interested in what state you think your loved ones will be when you are reunited. Will they be in their prime for no reason (perhaps in their twenties and possibly before you even knew them), or will they be as exactly as decrepit as when they died? Also, won't you get bored a few billion years into your eternity?
  19. Exactly. Until proof exists why believe in random stuff that just doesn't make sense without statements like "I just think there must be something" or "you can't prove there isn't... (insert 'afterlife', 'ghostly spirits', 'fairies at the bottom of my garden', etc.).
  20. You can't prove that I'm wrong!
  21. Ruge, I have a theory that you actually don't believe in the afterlife or any religion, but actually just fancied a bit of company/banter this evening.
  22. Why do you think of the millions of species on the planet we inhabit, Homo sapiens were given a 'higher stage in life' and how does the 'higher stage' manifest itself?
  23. Yes, I've read that we used to duck women underwater to see if they were a witch. If they didn't drown they were obviously a witch so needed to be burnt at the steak.
  24. Do you really think we need to prove that things don't exist instead of proving that they do exist?!
  25. There is certainly more in the universe that we don't know about than we do know about. Without any proof of an after life (what ever that is) there might as well not be one. A person can claim and genuinely believe they can fly unaided but unless it is proven they can fly unaided, they can't fly unaided.
